Don't get me wrong I like the fact that more people are coming to our side, I've always thought that the democrats have been less than honest with blacks and other minorities and that these communities would better serve themselves by following a conservative adjenda. All I was saying is that when these lifelong democrats all of the sudden decide to switch sides, they embrace the whole ideology, and not try to pick and choose which ideas serve them and which ones don't.

What he needs, he said, are bricks and mortar.

What he needs, he said, are Republican who steal peoples money and redistribute it like Democrats.
I wish more blacks would turn to GOP/Libertarianism because it is the best form of government, not for more pork barrel spending.

Added to your points, I think it's important to back up and support minorities once they make the transition. They have enormous pressure from their community for being Republican; even more need to support them. I was kind of ashamed to see Republicans let Armstrong Williams twist in the wind on a trumped-up scandal. But all in all, I like what I see with GOP outreach, as well. I think Mehlman is serious about making it a year-round thing.

Reading this small thread, the more things change, the more they say the same. Our motives must be questioned. Always. Without fail. It's not like we can one day have an epiphany or something. </shaking head>

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.
