Fox saying doctors are operating on the Pope as of several minutes ago. His condition is worsening. Pray.
Hearing all the pope has to go through and went through I sometimes just hope that God lets this man's suffering come to an end.
Only two popes in history have served longer...St. Peter and Leo in the 19th century...rd.

My daughter just finished doing a report in school on Pope John Paul's life. What a truly amazing, dear, wonderful holy man of God he is. Praying that he will be healed and comforted by the Lord.
Just an observation.
This thread (CNN) was in Breaking News. Now it has been moved to Extended News and a similar thread sourced from FOX is put in Breaking News.

From the title of the thread, it looks like the operation was just speculation at the time posted.
The new thread has him being taken to the operating room. If you were the poster, I'd suggest pinging the mods, have them update the title and put it back in Breaking News.
then ventilator support for awhile to fight infection off may do the trick...but it can turn quickly in the other direction...
I'm thinking that with good nursing care he should pull through...
Not that important. It just seemed arbitrary to me.

BTW, that thread has been blocked by yet another thread NOT in Breaking News or on anyside bar (as of yet)!! Mods are not up to speed today.
