Mine's up and flapping, and the neighbors think I'm nuts every March 2, 6, and April 21!

Port Isabel, TX Lighthouse (My mom's hometown - also the gateway to South Padre Island, haven for all those thousands of Spring Breakers who go there starting next week)

Yep!

A rainbox viewed from my back yard November 23rd last year.

I spied it on the way home. Had I arrived home five minutes earlier,
I could have caught it in it's full glory.

My father will be visiting this weekend. I think I'll get him to help me put a flagpole up!

I don't know if this was what you were talking about, but there was a story about the buffalo herd in Texas that had some beautiful pictures. I looked on my ping list and it was called, "Preserving the Buffaloes; Fate of Texas herd rests with Donated Bulls."

The Institute of Phenomonology has relocated back to Texas!

From our previous stay here, we spied Little Bo Peep in a cotton field in West Texas.

She lost her sheep, but found a Prize Winning Goat.

Thanks. My site crashed about 2 years ago and I lost about 2 years worth of work. I just haven't the heart to repair it.

I just happen to drive by the monument exactly 1 year ago and got to witness a ceremony, complete with soldiers and firing cannon.

Today's weather may have hampered any event they had planned today? I'll have to watch the local news.

Are you still in San Marcos? My very liberal cousin has been the dean of a college of education in that fair city for a good while now. last month he said he is moving on to another institution of education. LBJ came out of that institution. My cousin is a real good guy from a great family but never saw the light. He thinks the same of me.
