Chris Wallace is conducting a Real Interview with Mark Malloch Brown. This is what the Sunday shows could offer us if they stopped trying to do the "gotcha" interview to "suppoerters of President Bush" or the softball press releases to "supporters of Democrats."

They're not even promising greater supervision and reform to ensure this doesn't happen again? Appalling!

This is the sort of thing at which Brit Hume is a master. He elicits information beautifully.

>>Hey, watch out for Harold Ford. I'm betting has a great future in politics. He may just even come over to the right side some day. He's very smooth! ;-)<<
Ok..but only because you say so :)
What did you think of his suggestions on Soc Sec??
Sounded to me like we might as well abolish it and move it directly into the welfare dept...
or did I misread what he said??

Ford is slick as Owl you know what. I heard him on Imus a couple of weeks ago and he was so smooth he is scary. I would bet either he or Alabama will be paired with the Demoness in 08.

Oh yes, CNBC. in fact, the Cramer of Kudlow & Cramer says we aren't smart enough to manage our own money, even in a controlled Soc Sec. account. Elitist pig.

What he was saying sounded good but it had NOTHING to do with social security.

OK...they get the account with interest when they are 18. For poorer kids, they would likely end up with about $2000 at age 18. Then what...they are just given that money? Is it to be used for education or what?
Seems to me that a whole lot of high school seniors would be making trips to Florida or buying motorcycles.

Yes...it was a good interview...by Wallace..I just did not get it all..I sometimes stop and listen a bit and then get lost..he diplomatically talked about the need to train the UN troops..loosely commanded and with different standards.
The fact is there is no will to do anything about Sudan..and there is the cost of military operations..too little money.
It is dependent on the coming together of all the countries to really do anything...That is the nature of the beast.

Did you know that Alan Colmes was a stand up comedian in his earlier days?.....
Sidenote about Colmes. His was the very last voice heard on 660 WNBC in NYC. He had a PM drive time show which went off at 6PM. At 6:01 WNBC became WFAN, known nationally as The FAN. Colmes was very upset both at losing his job and at losing it to an all sports talk format which he believed was a waste of valuable bandwidth. I think he's still cranked up over that.

That 's why Cramer is out to his own show & Kudlow&Co is Kudlow's fine show.

I really warted my cable station until they put on Fox News. I have never felt compelled to ask for pmsnbc. My TV is on Fox 99% of the time. I watch local news - well, Dallas is not really local, but they do good weather- which we get the next day usually.

I think Cramer has his own show now. I notice he is not paired with Larry Kudlow anymore. It looked like to me that Chris just would not let Cramer talk even on a topic that he obviously knew well, typical rat.
Kudlow was taken to task on a thread here yesterday it was interesting.

Listening to MTP, here is the dem plan for SS: raise the cap in extorted contributions, raise the retirement age, re-do what we did in '83, all to make SS solvent for a while longer. Then we'll look at private accounts on top of SS. There it is, folks. Same old, same old.
