The petition for the writ of habeus corpus is here

http://terrisfight.org/documents/031805habcorp.pdf

You can read the document online. It is a long document, but very interesting, as it contains a summary history of court actions on Terri's case so far.

The judge now needs to station Florida State Troopers at the door to Terri's room to ensure that events take their natural course. I do believe the body should be sedated until the end, though. But you're right, we should just let her go. It's finally time.

Since when is it unselfish, noble and compassionate to let someone slowly starve to death?

Will the pain of starvation "make her comfortable"?

Your arguments could apply just as well to others who are unable to feed themselves- like infants, for example. Shall we "let them go" by starving them, too?

Your moral compass has fallen in the toilet.

Why don't you stop eating for a few weeks and get back to us. Starving someone to death is not a medical procedure idiot! T H I N K fool!

For God's sake, people, let her GO!

Ummm, thats what we are trying to do, get Judge Greer to let her parents take her home and provide care for her instead of having her starved to death.

Make her comnfortable, love her, but do not enslave her any longer for your own pathetic propitiative needs.

Huh? Since when is staying alive the equivalent of enslavement?

Please, stop doing the hallucinagens! While you still have time!

She did her best. Now let go and let her be functional again.

Yeah, let her go home instead of being starved to death.

Man, you leftists are seriously out of touch with reality; stayingg alive is not enslavement, duh.

"Now let go and let her be functional again."

OK, Mr. Warrior. If you ever are wounded in combat, I get we should just end your life so you can be "functional again." Not exactly the most logical thing I have ever read.

Friendly advice - Don't grab an angry dog by the ears and spit in his/her face. The result is usual not favorable.

You keep reminding yourself that you're torturing out of compassion ... and try your best not to think about it.

The horror that you support absolutely amazes me. Her life may appear to be pathetic and of little value but you could not be any more wrong if you tried. Don't you understand what love and peace her life is giving to her family and many supporters. Not only that - she has value simply because she is a child of God. What good does killing her do? She is apparently not suffering. But even if she is. Should we not support her in life when she is suffering rather than put her out of her misery. Who's next - handicapped children, Spina Bifida babies, the helpless elderly, etc.? What madness it is to try to kill off the people that we think have no value in life because they aren't able to "contribute" to society. I am furious with attitudes like your post support. That attitude is the source of inspiration for groups like the Hemlock crowd and Planned Infanticide. For me and my family, we believe that all life - especially the lives of the suffering and handicapped - have value. And a two week long suffering death is no way for us to show our love for Terri.

Then you should be calling for lethal injection or some other more "humane" execution rather than dehydrating and starving her over the next two weeks. We treat our old pets better.

I am, today, signing my advance directive stating my wishes not to be kep alive by artifical means if I am judged to be in a permanent vegitative state. This includes feeding tubes. If I am not "here," then I want my spirit to be released from my body so that it can go to the Lord.

"The judge now needs to station Florida State Troopers at the door to Terri's room to ensure that events take their natural course."

The judge should arrested and tired for attempted murder and conspiracy to murder. Governor Bush should make it clear to any "trooper" that they will be fired if they raise a finger to follow this judge's "illegal" order. Secondly, it may be time to declare martial law to stop this attrocity.

To get my 2 cents worth in - Whether they decide to let her go or not its the way that they are doing it that is so horrible. To me it is worse than the decision itself, a convicted murderer will be lead into a room, put to sleep, then injected with solution to stop his heart and that is it. If I let my DOG die the way they are going o kill her I would be prosecuted for animal cruelty and sent to prison. To let someone, ANYONE in ANY condition to die of thirst is beyond barbaric. Either let her live or end her suffering ( I pray she lives, but that is all I can do about this) as humanely as possible, anything but this.

You did the right thing - putting your wishes in writing and not having a spouse decide for you who may not have your best interests in mind.

This is perversion. Starving a woman to death is perverted.

"Rep. Henry Waxman of California, senior Democrat on the Government Reform Committee, called the subpoenas a "flagrant abuse of power" and amounted to Congress dictating the medical care Terri Schiavo should receive. "Congress is turning the Schiavo family's personal tragedy into a national political farce," Waxman said.

Whats this a new Democratic idea for "Health Care Reform?"
