I am so sick of hearing on TV, and reading in the papers and on the Internet that: Michael schiavo has "allowed" an autopsy to be performed. There has been much discussion on this, with people wondering if it is not, instead the LAW in Florida.

It is the law. I don't care how many times they let Felos get up in front of the cameras and try to portray Michael as "St. Michael," and state he is allowing this to dispel allegations, etc. As long as they also state afterward that Michael has no choice. He chose cremation for Terri, thus the law requires a cremation. Let them tell that after Felos makes his grandiose statement so people see the evil lawyer in action! (Again!)

I have not seen this actual statute on the FR (if I missed it I apologize). However, I thought it might be helpful in quieting this filthy claim of Felos and Schiavo.

Setting up for his defense in a wrongful death suit?
If there's evidence of spousal abuse, head injury, or proof she wasn't as brain damaged as he and his hired hit men claimed, they'll look at Michael. His lawyer will say: "Since Michael had nothing to hide, he allowed an autopsy to be performed by his own free will."

"I have not seen this actual statute on the FR (if I missed it I apologize)."

A few days ago a Freeper posted it on one of the threads. So as soon as Felos and Michael said they would allow an autopsy so everyone would know how damaged Terri's brain was there were some of us who knew they were grandstanding.

Thanks so much for posting it as a thread though as I am sure lots of people never saw it.

ATTENTION:

I have posted this before and I will keep posting for all those who may not have seen it.

This tells you exactly what kind of evil person, Michael's Schiavo’s lawyer, Felos is.

Excerpts from George Felos's book, "Litigation as Spiritual Practice" (Blue Dolphin Publishing, 2002) with page numbers About the Jews, George Felos wrote, "The Jewish people, long ago in their collective consciousness, agreed to play the role of the lamb whose slaughter was necessary to shock humanity into a new moral consciousness. Their sacrifice saved humanity at the brink of extinction and propelled us into a new age." (pg 240)

"If our minds can conceive of an uplifting Holocaust, can it be so diffucult to look another way at the slights and injuries and abuses we perceive were inflicted upon us?" (pg 240)

Describing the period he was separated from his ex-wife, "that weekend I experienced rage. Savage, unadulterated, and murderous rage." (pg 6)

Felos wrote about his ex-wife, "To her, I seemed unattractive, sexually unexciting, balding, boring, and just not enough fun to be with....she didn't need me anymore. For her, marriage to me inflicted a fate worse than death. She admitted that for the past year or so she had wished for my death, and whenever I flew hoped the plane would crash." (pg 7)

About his anger towards his ex-wife, "I was on fire, fueled by thoughts of bludgeoning and tearing her apart." (pg 23)

Describing the period he was recuperating from his divorce, "it consisted mostly of dreams of being tormented in some inferno." (pg 27)

Mrs Browning, do you want to die? Do you want to die? - I nearly shouted as I continued to peer into her pools of strikingly beautiful but incognizant blue eyes. It felt so eerie." (pg 63)

"Whatever your opinion about tube feeding, the hard fact was it now stood between Mrs. Browning and her death." (pg 64)

About Mrs. Estelle Browning "...I carried with me the resolute determination to sever the artificial cord that bound Estelle Browning to this earthly realm. Her agonized cry for release ran though my mind over and over again, and I felt our spiritual bond." (pg 76)

"With my son as catalyst, I felt stirrings of my own early childhood, which was less than idyllic. I unconsciously blamed myself for permitting myself to be abused, and I believed I was, as a child. At some point early in my childhood I self-divided into a protector and the inner essence I was protecting." (pg 48)

While on a plane trip, Felos thought "I wonder what it would be like to die right now?" (pg 181)

Felos wrote that God told him, "You are more powerful than you realize." (pg 182)

About the Estelle Browning case, "I still got a kick that evening seeing myself on the TV news, notwithstanding my frequently displayed countenance in the media of late."

"If I had to urinate, I didn't wait until the next commercial, I immediately got up and went. On the first urge to defecate, I left for the bathroom rather than making one more phone call." (pg 292)

"I can truly say my wife was enamored with me. I suppose power and success really are potent aphrodisiacs - as my spouse had made particularly evident our previous night at the Governor's Inn." (pg 246)

Problem is it says as the medical examiner deems necessary, it doesn't say it's the law that an autopsy has to be performed (as much as I too want it to say that).

Rules 1-12 wouldn't apply to him then. Everything was on the up and up.

In Terri's case , I'd hope they would use the following reasons:

1. Of criminal violence.
5. Unattended by a practicing physician or other recognized practitioner.
7. In police custody.
8. In any suspicious or unusual circumstance.
9. By criminal abortion.
10. By poison.( too much morophine to speed up the starvation)

Maybe it's because so many loons on FR have been insisting Judge Greer and Michael Schiavo had conspired to order her instantly cremated without autopsy, and kept right on saying it even after being told it wasn't true.

PS...No one knows why she collapsed to this day. All we have is a story from her husband she had an eating disorder. Her friends disagree. No one has ever checked.

Well, just darn. I wouldn't say that too loudly, someone might be watching.LOL. How did you do that? My relatives had to have an autopsy performed

But, hey, I truly didn't offer this post as my opinion, nor to argue any point, so I don't think you did either. Right?

I went to the Florida Statues, it took me a while to find it going through a lot of windows, but there it was.

I just wanted to get the facts, since this has been mentioned but I never saw the actual law.

If people support Michael (not you, not mentioning names) I have no idea why they read the threads that they disagree with, yet have no valid references, links, or quotes to support their expressions. (Not necessary in your case - and I am not picking on you at all - but you have firsthand, actual experience, so that is different.)

FR used to be a place where we could exchange information - not only raw emotion. I loved to get links to articles, etc. here that I might never have seen. Now, it is mostly a battle ground.

True, I have my opinions, but I mostly try to support what I am saying with the resource where I found it. And I am glad when something I read might not have all the information or truth, and another FReeper points me to another direction. That is how we learn.

However some people on this very thread just make a statement and have never, here or on other threads offered actual viable support for their statements.

That is not what the FR is/was all about. It has changed so much recently. It is hard for us who are looking for truth to read through all their nasty comments. So sad.

Sorry, I guess it just finally got my goat. But as I said, you are not a target. I wanted to just make "my emotional" statement finally. Ugh!

Do you know how Michael became a nurse and why he said he wanted to be a nurse?

He was suing a doctor. He said he needed money to pay for his education to become a nurse. That way, he could care for his wife forever.
He won $2 million dollars for training and Terri's life time support.
After he got the money, 7 years after the accident, he "remembered" she wanted to die.
So much for wanting to "care for Terri."

And it frustrates me to know end that the Bush Administration can't pull a Clinton and Janet Reno and put this woman back on a feeding machine! She has the will to live!!!!!!!! After years of refusing an autopsy upon the death of Terri Schindler-Schiavo, suddenly the attorney for Michael Schiavo has announced that Dr. Jon Thogmartin, medical examiner for Pinellas/Pasco Counties, District 6, will conduct an autopsy to attempt to dispel rumors of criminal wrongdoing in the case.

Michael Schiavo, estranged husband and guardian of the severely brain damaged woman who is dying of starvation and dehydration at a Florida hospice, has steadfastly maintained that no autopsy would be performed upon her death and that cremation would immediately follow.

It now appears that his attorney, euthanasia advocate George Felos, may have acquired knowledge that would help cover up the alleged wrongdoing, even in death. In announcing the hurriedly scheduled autopsy, he claims that Michael Schiavo wants proof of the extent of his wife’s brain damage and to put to rest rumors of her physical condition.

Good article. I didn't dare post the whole article, but it is a good one.
With dehydration comes brain shrinkage. It gets dehydrated like all the other organs and makes it appear smaller. I hope more than one doctor is available for the autopsy if Terri is left to die - and the doctors account for that shrinkage when diagnosing the damage!!!
I'm sure Michaels layer knows all about shrinkage, too!!

I think this is going to have to be a wait and see issue.

The fact that MS wouldn't allow any definitive tests (like a functional MRI after removing her probes or a PET scan) to prove she was a PVS, hired Florida's Dr. Death and start having affairs about a year after her demise (let alone the testimonies of the nurses that make Michael a monster) naturally make people suspicious of his motives. We all should be. I couldn't do that to my husband. Never. Ever.

If the autopsy takes place, her supporters will have to seriously rethink Internet info. If he cremates her what will you say?

The real problem seems to be that we don't really know very much about anything regarding the Schiavo case. But the bottom line is that she did not have a written living will;therefore, Terri dies on hearsay and by starvation. It is appalling. Also, it would have been legal for the judges to have shown equity or compassion. Law and order are not devoid of these.

We can see plainly that the judiciary needs lopping severely. Who the hell do these lawyer/judges think they are? Time for change. We the people have to do it, as the Ukrainians, Lebanese, Iraqis, Afghans, Kyrgyzastanians, Georgians and others have done. So many people non-violently refusing the tyrants. So many they can't kill and imprison them all so the tyrants have to leave the country. The winds of freedom start to blow and sweep the earth, as Pres. Bush said.

We Americans have lost much of our freedom. We must get it back and kick out of office those who have changed, desecrated, misinterpreted our Constitution.

Dr. Jon Thogmartin, the medical examiner chosen by Felos/Schiavo to perform the autopsy, was appointed to his current position by Gov. Jeb Bush in 2000 for a three year term and reappointed in 2003. He reports to the Pinellas County Board of Commissioners, the same commission of which Greer was a commissioner prior to assuming judicial office.

Unattended by a practicing physician or other recognized practitioner

This exemption fits Terri since she is in a health care facility and her death is most certainly attended. I work with hospice in out state and there are no autopsies unless there is reason to suspect a crime. I do not think Michael is being forced to have an autopsy done.

If the autopsy takes place, her supporters will have to seriously rethink Internet info. If he cremates her what will you say?

If he cremates her without an autopsy, I will watch the Medical Examiner, who is a Jeb Bush appointee, have him and the crematory operators indicted by the State Attorney General for a felony violation of flori-duh law.
