"A uniformed member of the military had the mic and was trying to ask a question while the children in the back tried to talk over him too."
Absolutely no respect from the party of tolerance. Not even for the military!
She has had problems before. I guess it is to expected now. She shoots them down with class and they just can't take it.
As far as I am concerned I would be honored to throw my 6 foot 235lb "attitude" into the protection of Miss Ann's right to free speech. I expect everyone that attends such a lecture to at least show courtesy for those that are willing to pay for the privilege to hear Ms. Coulter speak. Showing no respect for one in uniform is beyond the pale however. He should have recruited a few of his brethren and showed these toddlers the bottom of the urinal in the public restroom.
As a sheriff once told me about an idiot that was peeling out in my driveway continually: "Just keep him there until I arrive. I don't care if you have to pull him out of the wing window, keep him there until I arrive!" Good advice when dealing with the intellectually challenged.

It appears that nobody posted the pic that accompanied the article, so here it is:

Ann Coulter speaks at the Lied Center as part of the J.A. Vickers Sr. Memorial Lecture Series. Coulter, the 37th speaker in the series, is a right-wing commentator, attorney and author of three New York Times best-sellers. (Richard Gwin/Journal World-Photos) |

Reading between the lines, these two guys were embarrassed by their Comrades...what are you reading that I'm not? It said nothing about the two brothers being leftists.

Ann is doing the good work that is needed wherever she goes on our college campuses. There is going to be a heroic effort necessary to turn around the flaming left culture that exists on our campuses. She can inspire that spirit to brave the professors who spout the Churchillian puke. She can rally the forces necessary to overturn the apple cart that has been given a easy ride with bumpkin students who swallow the outrageous lies of the left with mind-numbed acceptance. We need more Ann Coulters who are willing to do the hard work to strike a mortal silver stake through the heart of liberalism like a vampire hunter ends the evil one. Ann Coulter has created the template for success.
Anyone want to make $25K giving speeches to students starving for common sense?

..."Open-Minded Atheists..."? Ummm... Isn't that an oxymoron!
I don't know, but I noticed something some years ago. If certain people are "freethinkers," how come, when it comes to their defining area, they think alike?

Ya your astounded! I spent yesterday defending myself from verbal attacks.
To: XJarhead
It's one thing if you're trying to have a legitimate discussion and you're being heckled to the point where nobody can hear. But when she gets out there and purposely baits those morons with stuff like "if you can put together a coherent thought", I've got no sympathy if she gets shouted down. She's invited to speak and over a thousand people come to hear her. A dozen or so hecklers attempt to drown her out. If the security personnel aren't going to do anything about it, the speaker has to. If they - the hecklers - want to debate her, wait in line for the Q&A session.
To: Rummyfan
Generally, I've got no problem with that. I don't like hecklers. But I equally don't like speakers who bait people intentionally in an effort to generate heckling, which is what I think she was doing.

I fixed this up yesterday and forgot
to bring it back here till now. :)

Hey, DollarCoins! Welcome to FR!
May I offer you a sponge, or some bandages for those wounds?
At least a nice Scotch to knock the edge off?
I'm pretty sure all the viking kitties have been put back into their cages, so it's safe for a while. Gotta be careful about wandering between them and Ann!
