There was a report about 1/2 hour ago from AirForce One, so he's on his way back.

I hope, if there is something going on, they let the Mafia at these guys/this guy first. The Mafia doesn't take hostages!

Being escorted to land? Willingly? Can't be too dangerous. Terrorists would have blown themselves up.

That's what I was thinking. It's probably nothing. Otherwise, they'd nose it into the ground.

I believe that Air Force One left Rome about an hour ago. Fox was reporting on a report from the plane in which the President said that Pope John Paul II definitely would not have a "mixed legacy". Take that Clintooon.

Brigitte on Fox says she was reading on the wire some comments from President Bush on AF1, so he is already safely in the air. However, she points out, many of the dignitaries are still there.
Plus, there are millions of regular people still there.

Ready, aim ... anti-aircraft missiles, part of the Italian defence system, are displayed near Rome for the funeral of
the Pope. Italian authorities readied anti-aircraft rocket launchers and took other security measures to protect the
dignitaries converging on Rome for the funeral. Photo: AP

I would like to believe that too. This is confusing. But weren't those terrorists who took over the school in Russia from the Balkins (Chesnia - sp?)
