King is of no party and no philosophy. He was a Dim, he not claims to be in the GOP. What he is is a member of the political class who enjoys the perks of power and doling out favors. He alledged fiscal consevatism has not stopped him doling out pork to his alma mater.
So of course when push comes to shove on an important issue to the GOP, he is undependable. Hopefully a change will be made.
This is politics. If you do something people don't like, particularly in your own party, they have the right to throw you out.
Jim King's Legacy is a culture of death.
Floridians take starving and dehydrating people to death seriously. It's cruel, barbaric, painful, hitleresque. Jim King is in trouble because his pockets are full of aclu and death lobby cash and the world knows it. dirty, dirty, money
Open mouth, insert foot. Gee, King, I wouldn't have guessed.
Ins't King the fat bastard who rallied 9 Republicans to vote "no" on the Schiavo law?
Big fat disgusting white guy who has the blood of Theresa Marie Schindler on his hands. Let me know how I can help get rid of this awful man.
Oh this is KING? Well, if he is afraid of getting ousted than he should be. We elect these men to do a job for us, not for themself. they are elected to vote the way we want them to!! He deserves to lose!
I believe I read that King was very much involved in legislation that changed Florida definitions in laws, or changed the law, in 1999 just before Felos got Terry transferred to hospice (read TERMINAL care) and took her case before Greer.
Remember that many of the advisers to the legislature on the End of Life panel were from the board of Suncoast Hospices, of which Felos was a board member. The wife of a fellow judge/friend of Greer's was also on the End of Life panel. This panel is evidently infested with Hemlock Society members or fellow travelers.
Some enterprising investigative reporter (if such still exists) could really make an interesting story by connecting all the dots and all the points of conflict of interest.
vaudine
I hope the pro-life Republicans of his district defeat him with a solid pro-life Republican candidate. Then I hope that candidate is strongly supported and goes on to win the seat in a general election.
I have stopped defining non pro-life Republicans as RINOs. I have come to believe that the GOP has not definitively described itself. It has a "pro-life" platform, but it doesn't enforce it, per se. So, even though I am strongly pro-life and Republican, how can I call someone who doesn't agree with me on this issue a RINO? Logically, they could call me a RINO because I am not necessary a "fiscal conservative."
I think it is time that the GOP finally stop waffling and clearly define itself - get rid of the big circus tent. It should become all one thing or all the other (either pro-life or "pro-choice"); or for that matter whatever ever else is considered an important stand.
If it wants to retain strong moral conservatives like myself, then it needs to make it clear that "non" pro-lifers "need not apply" for office, etc. This uneasy coalition is not getting anywhere. IMO, other than blocking the Democratic party's foolishness, what good has a "Republican" controlled Congress done in regards to "pro-life" issues? Merely stopping the trully heinous "partial birth abortion" is not enough. Why is there all the delay in getting the "nuclear option" instituted in the Senate so "pro-life" judges will be confirmed? A "fractured" majority party is not really a majority party.
IMHO, a "conservative" label is something like the "honest person" label. If someone continually boasts about how honest they are, that's often a good sign that they're not.
While I do not doubt that a man like Alan Keyes would describe himself as "conservative" if asked whether he was conservative or liberal, I don't think he would describe himself that way unprompted. More likely he would simply describe his views on various issues and let others recognize for themselves that he was, in fact, conservative.
I'm an indy until the GOP starts weeding out the bad boys. We don't need ilk like JIM KING. He's ruining the GOP in addition to Judge George Greer. He singlehandedly linked the party to the gestapo.
Judge W. Douglas Baird's a bad boy too, remember he wouldn't let Jeb have a trial even though he was a defendant.
But, Jeb turned the ambulance around. THEY ARE ALL TO BLAME. They have nowhere to hide. They made a grievous error. So did the POTUS! THEY NEED NEW HANDLERS IF THEY CAN'T THINK ON THEIR OWN.
The gruesome killing of Terri is a wretched page in our history books, absolutely devastating and wretched!
Republicans need to make clear that they'll welcome support from whoever chooses to give it, but will not sacrifice their principles in pursuit of support. They need to realize that in many cases 'compromise' positions are completely unsupportable. If Democrats propose a big program and Republicans offer a 'smaller' version as a compromise, then if the program succeeds it will be to the Democrat's credit, but if it fails the Republicans will be to blame. Such compromises are guaranteed to be bad for the Republicans, and yet many of them embrace them enthusiastically. Perhaps that's why they're called the "stupid party".
What good is being a fiscal conservative, if you are pro-DEATH.
24. Jim King was one of the nine GOP and he's in the real Hospice Hall of Fame. If you think of anything that's not too graphic, check out his "itsy bitsy spider" jpeg at 24. Maybe him sneaking up on Terri. (I know this isn't a freepmail).
RINO's are worse than democrats. Look at the damage the likes of Chaffee and Snow are causing now in the senate.
Get rid of them.
They have EVERY RIGHT TO BE WORRIED!!!!!!!! I want them down, big time!!! AND I might add, that we need to remove their political FEEDING TUBES while we are at it!
