Father arrested over objections to homosexual curriculum in sonís kindergarten class.

LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS, APRIL 27. Lexington parent, David Parker, was arrested today by the Lexington Police for “trespassing” at his son’s elementary school during a scheduled meeting with the principal and the city’s Director of Education over his objections to homosexual curriculum materials and discussions in his son’s kindergarten class.

At the meeting, Parker demanded that the school inform him when homosexual subjects are to be discussed with his son, and allow his son not to be included in such activities. He said he would not leave until his request was granted. The Principal and the city’s Director of Education both refused his request. They then telephoned the Superintendent of Schools who also refused. Police were called, who told Parker that unless he left the school he would be arrested.

Statement by David Parker(April 27, 2005):

“I, David Parker, am the father of a kindergarten student at Estabrook Elementary School in Lexington, Massachusetts. Since the beginning of this school year, my wife and I have learned that school materials and discussions about gay-headed households/same-sex union issues have been exposed to the children. There are definitive plans to increase the teacher/staff/adult mediated discussions of these subjects.

“We have officially stated on many occasions—to the Lexington school administration—a request that we be notified when these discussions are planned, and want our 6-year-old opted out of such situations when arising “spontaneously”.

“Our parental requests for our own child were flat-out denied with no effort at accommodation. In our meeting on April 27, I, insisted that such accommodation be made and refused to leave the meeting room. I was informed that I would be arrested.”

Parker will be arraigned on Thursday, April 28, in Concord District Court at 9 am. “This is an unbelievable outrage,” said Brian Camenker, a friend and Newton, Mass. parent. “It’s where last year’s same-sex ‘marriage’ ruling has brought us.”

I do not remember the last book I read that was typo-free.

Do you correct library books?

Thanks.

You are apparently doing an outstanding job with your kids.

Because this is a fairly small county everyone tends to run into everyone else around here. It just so happens that one of my husband and my trivia and beer buddies, who is so far to the right he makes me look like of lib, is the husband of one of our daughter's teachers! And all 3 of their children are in the same school district.

In fact many of the teachers here are actual products of this school district themselves......I think that also has some bearing on how they deal with different things.

I'm totally with you on this issue.

And I think your analogy is perfect.

In other words, by denying the father's request the principal and superintendent broke the law - yet they had the father arrested.

I'm sitting here shaking my head and being thankful I do not live in Massachusetts....as is my husband who is originally from there.

"No because once vouchers are introduced to private schools, the feds will be able to enforce this kind of thing there too. No vouchers."

You are correct. Better then vouchers, return all tax money to everyone that was previously spent on education and if you have kids, pay for it out of that. Privitize the whole thing.

Areas of the country where people cant control their children will soon not be able to find schools for their unruley monsters. We can then close the border because we will have cheap labor again. There will develop a disipline renassance among parents as they discover that training their kids is their responsibility, not every one elses. Those who dont figure that out, will reap what they sow.

And best of all, the free market ecomemny will produce better schools and more options. You can send your kid to Rainbow Brite elementry or He-Man high, its your choice, just like at Walmart, store brand or name brand....

It certainly appears that way in my reading of the MAss code, but I have a tendency to read words liberally and I don't have the kind of glasses where penumbras and emanations from same come into sharp focus.

Well, whatever dude. I just know that the story would be much much different if I was involved. I wouldn't make a mistake about who was hearing from me then.

In Calif we are on the slippery slope too:

California Lawmakers Renew Push for Same-Sex Marriage

City: Sacramento, CA –
California Assemblyman Mark Leno, a gay lawmaker from San Francisco, has introduced legislation which would redefine marriage in the state to include same-sex couples.

AB 19, titled “Gender-Neutral Marriage,” would significantly alter state law and policy by stating that marriage is merely “a civil contract between two persons.” As part of the accompanying legislative findings, the bill relies on court decisions in Hawaii, Vermont, and Massachusetts, as well as Canadian court decisions.

Several moderate lawmakers have joined conservatives in opposing AB 19, especially in light of the fact that in 2000, California voters decisively approved Proposition 22, which unequivocally states that only a marriage between a man and a woman is recognized in California. By contrast, supporters of AB 19 insist that the issue is too important to be left to the voters, and should instead be decided by judges and legislators.

The President of Pacific Justice Institute, Brad Dacus, commented, “AB 19 is a blatant attempt to thwart the will of the people of California. The voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition 22 in order to preserve the valuable institution of marriage.”

AB 19 is scheduled for a key hearing in the Judiciary Committee this week. PJI urges all concerned citizens to contact their elected representatives and voice their opposition to this and similar efforts to undermine traditional values.
***********************************************************

This is an excellent website and they also pursue matters in other states too. They have to be contacted by the people with the problem.

Anita Bryant...'also said... "if homosexual marriage is allowed, we might as well be allowed to marry St. Bernards."'

Looks like the vanguard of the Left's Brave New World is working hard on proving this 2nd Bryant point true!

Australian born Princeton Professor of Bioethics Peter Singer is already advocating beastiality. He teaches that "other historical sexual taboos, from sex without procreation to homosexuality to masturbation and sodomy are no longer viewed widely as perversions...{and}...that bestiality is not only an old practice, but that in certain circumstances it's considered no big deal." (Boulder Weekly)

Note the place where this occurred. It may be time to re-enact our past.

This guy didn't get the memo. It takes a village. Relinquish your child to the state. They know what's best.

No, but my fingers itch for the red - um, excuse me, the purple pen.

Frankly, I don't go to libraries anymore. Here in Houston, they're unofficial homeless shelters, and I make enough money that I can buy the book instead of renting it.

Many many more stories like this, about the "day of silence" and many schools following it with cross dressing day, can be found at www.article8.org, and www.massresistance.blogspot.com If that site doesn't work, it can be linked to theough Article 8

This year, the parents came out in force against all this nonsense! The homosexual lobby is defying and finding ways around, the parental rights laws. Everyone should visit those sites and be informed!

“It’s where last year’s same-sex ‘marriage’ ruling has brought us.”

Yup. Just following through on the logic. Gay "marriage" is now recognized by the commonwealth, and the commonwealth runs the schools.

Of course, parents have a natural right and duty to be their childrens' primary educators, but this right was effectively vacated with the establishment of government schools 150 years ago.
