The source of all tyranny is secularism, even in the Muslim world. Jihadists are not religious zealots. They are criminal secularists. Their edicts are based on the fanaticism of political, not religious, doctrine.
There is, as you have clearly stated, far more danger of tyranny from the left than the right.
The right is typically principled in a belief system that holds to Universal Truth and Godly precepts.
The left never admits the value or existence of objective truth.
Where the Truth of God does not exist the people perish.

In some states you can't cut down a tree on your property without permission of the state. BTW, Jesus, being God, most likely could have spoken Arabic, even Modern Arabic, if He'd wished! If he'd done so he'd used the term "Allah".
