lol.. I was 10 - 12 - 23 - 33
It's middle of the pack for now.
4th, 7th, 12th, & 16th for STR.
You're putting up some hefty numbers. You must have started out pretty far down the league list, huh?
Good run and finish!
I had that lineup about halfway thru the race.. argghh.
7 12 14 & 36 Yark!
Every time I pick Jeff Gordon, my favorite driver, I go down the tubes. When I don't he wins too. :)
Bummer dude!
Seemed like I had the same points with 150 laps to go. One would go up and another would go down.
I was out of the really big points early, thanks to Kurt Busch's first lap mishap.
The dillo wreckers are goin' back ta boot camp before next week!
Yes, you've guessed our plan to embarrass you. Foiled again!
When is Yahoo going to update the scores? They do it with computers these days, I understand. Or do you think they're still using monkeys and peanuts to keep tabs?
Yep... Pete-R-Bilt at Richmond
Busch parked for hitting official with bottle, disrespecting NASCAR

DARLINGTON, S.C. (AP) - Kurt Busch hit the wall on the first lap at Darlington Raceway. Then he hit an official with a water bottle, bad-mouthed NASCAR over his radio and ended up in a closed-door meeting with series officials.
"His actions were certainly not befitting of a champion," NASCAR spokesman Jim Hunter said after the Dodge Charger 500. "He said things that are not fit for print."
Busch, the defending Nextel Cup champion, finished 37th on Saturday night and dropped two spots in the standings to fourth. He now trails leader Jimmie Johnson by 229 points.
Busch knew it was going to be a bad night seconds after the race began. He had started 11th, but didn't even get a full lap in before he spun out coming out of the fourth turn and hit the inside retaining wall.
He took the No. 97 Ford into the garage so his crew could make enough repairs for Busch to continue racing.
Later in the race, NASCAR said Busch moved into the wrong position on the track under caution. Officials ordered him to stop and get in line where he was supposed to be, but Busch refused.
He was sent into the pits for a two-lap penalty, and NASCAR officials took offense to the language he used over the radio. They ordered him to turn his engine off, and he responded my revving it.
He also tossed a water bottle out of his window that hit the official in his pit.
Busch was then summoned to meet with NASCAR after the race. Although series officials looked less than pleased with the champion, Busch emerged from their hauler with a huge grin on his face, but nothing to say.
"What a great race," he grinned. "You guys see that race? It was great."

Best Radio Chatter:
Size 11s aint big enough
During a caution period on lap 195, Dale Jr. registered some suggestions for his team. (Because of the team-swap at DEI, Dale Jr. is driving cars originally prepared for Michael Waltrip.)
Dale Jr.: This cars gas pedal needs to be moved down. Im barely catchin it with the top of my foot and it hurts like hell. Yall gotta move em on all the cars. Im not as big as Michael. Its like the gas pedal is a foot off the floor
I need a board or a platform in here!
Dale Jr. had a birds-eye view of a hard crash between two lapped cars on lap 242
Dale Jr: Ahahahahahahahah! That was trip! Gollllllllllllleeeeeee! I could see that comin from way back.
Steve Hmiel: Good job. We were lucky to miss that one.
Dale Jr.: Yeeeeeeeeoooooooooowwww! I hope nobodys hurt. They hit hard there. CRASH! BAM!
After the crash, there was an animated discussion regarding pit strategy.
Dale Jr: Im comin in
Rondeau: The leaders are staying out
stay out! Stay out!
Hmiel: OK, a lot of guys behind the 24 (J. Gordon) came in
Dale Jr.: Awwww. DAMN! I shoulda come in.
Rondeau: It was only three laps on those tires.
Dale Jr: You dont understand, man. Three laps here is like 20 anywhere else. I aint lyin!
Rondeau: I believe ya. Youll be OK. Nice job avoiding that wreck. I could tell you could see it comin the way you dropped back there.
The car didnt react well to a set of tires, and it was a relieved Dale Jr. when a yellow flag came out on lap 317 and saved him from going a lap down.
Dale Jr.: The car is over on the right front (tire), I really need some help here. I know you hear me, and youre probably tired of hearing me. Im drivin this damn thing and Im tired of hearing me too. But, lets get it better.
After the pit stop
Dale Jr: Whhhhooooo! We gained a few spots there
Weve got some work to do. (making up seemingly random numbers) That felt like 100 pounds of air pressure in the left front. Id say the right front felt like
22 pounds and the right rear, oh
Id say
45 pounds.
Rondeau: (laughing) Alright. Well get em now. 50 laps to go
Dale Jr: The stops have been so kick-ass all night, I cant believe it.
Today's Stats
Started: 39th
Finished: 8th

Points: 9th place (-55 points behind fifth position)
Best Pit Stop: Stop #8 of 11 / 12.68 seconds / lap 234 / 4 tires and fuel [woohoo good job guys]
Sorry about missing last night; *&#@$#@% cold. (and it seems that if there weren't bad luck, Matt wouldn't have any at all).
In any case, here's the Race for 35th, Darlington Final Update (unofficial results, any penalties may well change this) -
The CAUTION POOL WINNER---
NYTexan with 12...
Honorable Mention to ChefKeith with 12 and a RED!!
Thanks for playing folks...come again next week for the next episode of "As the Wheel Tuns!"
I'll put in early for next week (in case I still am chasing this blasted cold off) - 16 and a red.
Hey there steve, I figured your cold got to you!! Missed your line-up recaps!!
Better try and get some of that Airborne stuff. If you take that when you feel something coming on it will get rid of it.
Thanks for doing the numbers for us. For the most part the race was kind of a snooze fest until the late stage wrecking started. Mikey and Kurt must have the same horoscope since they both got in trouble last night. Now that I read that article about Kurt I can see why he was so curt with the reporters after his oval office meeting!! I guess it's back to the Rousch charm school for him.
