Kiddies: just a wee little bit of historical perspective here, all right? Yeah, absolutely, GWB may well qualify as the single staunchest friend Israel has ever known, White House-wise... but: for way, way too may decades prior to this one, the Republican Party enjoyed an all-too-well deserved reputation as the party of naked and unapologetic anti-semitism; and that's NOT the sort of rep it's going to suddenly "lose," overnight, solely on the strength of GWB's good works alone.
Nixon's numerous weird "issues" with us are a matter of public record. Pat Buchanan -- long a powerful mover and shaker within the party -- was (and still is) even more rabid and foaming. Jews make a point of remembering those who openly and expressly wish them ill, no less than any other group; and some (many, most likely) may NEVER feel entirely comfortable with the party, as a result of such ugliness and hatred in the past.
What you're witnessing, here, is a generational transformation: younger Jews trending more and more conservative, politically, over the last twenty years (and continuing to do so), replacing in prominence (and voting numbers) older Jews, as the latter pass from the scene.
Newsflash: generational changes, by definition, take at least one generation to take effect. Staring impatiently at your wristwatch and muttering "... what's taking then so damned long, anyway?" won't speed up the process one bit; and the slack-jawed nitwiticisms on unfortunate display here (comparing Jews to sheep, dogs, etc.) only serve to retard the process further still. Large, steaming mugs of STFU need to be passed around to, and promptly chugged down by, more than one poster herabouts whose fingers move faster than his/her brain.

Not at all surprising to me. American liberal Jews are suicidal in the extreme. While they do not profess a hatred of Israel their actions tend to be more anti-Israel and anti-Jewish than any "hate" group I can think of. They support Nazi-style gun bans, a Nazi-style police state, Nazi-style propaganda (Jews own or control over 70% of mass media outlets...just a statistical fact folks, not me being a Nazi okay?), and Nazi-style socialism (government 'partnering' with private industry for the 'common good').

If Bush Wins in November, then he should abide by the wishes of the Jewish voters and minimize support for Israel and make sure the hard working American tax dollars are completely cutoff from Israel. All aid to Israel should end. It is disgusting the tribe mentality of so many groups. I really have just now changed my view of American taxpayer support of Israel.
There is an extreme hatred/fear of Christians and Christianity among most American Jews that never really becomes obvious until something or someone Christian threatens to bubble up to the mainstream….That much is fact. I'm sure the reasons for it are more complex than I can guess at. It is ironic that if Christianity met the doom that most Jews wish for it that their own doom would swiftly follow.

This is disgusting. Bush (and 140,000 American soldiers, 900+dead), saved the Israeli Army from a "death march" across Jordan and Iraq to Baghdad in an effort to stop Husseins money funding suicide bombers. The only other alternative was to "Nuke" Baghdad, but Damascus, Cairo, Riyadh and Tehran, would have to follow.
This is an ugly and insensitive question, but: Did German Jews vote, overwhelmingly, for Hitler in 1932? I hope not, but sometimes I have to wonder.

teh problem ws the worst jews of europe were the ones who came in large numbers at the turn of the last century. the most committed jews stayed in europe and largly perished. the small orthodox community in the us today is largely survivors. during the holocaust the american community was AWOL. they were AWOL then theyu were largly awol during the soviet jewery issue of the 70's and would rather save roev.wade than israel. the wrong 6 million.

If the Jews know better than anybody else what kind of an unbalanced mind it takes to produce the sickness of prejudice, why do Jews so comfortably practice it themselves by making any member of the Republican Party a special target of prejudice – especially someone who is recognized as a far-right Republican?
Somehow, Jews have always been enraptured by the words "liberal" or "Democrat." We convinced ourselves that the words "liberal" and "Jew" are a package made in heaven, ordained by God like a marriage, consecrated until death do us part. Love may be blind, but it does not have to also be deaf and dumb, which it must be not to recognize the contempt and prejudice of many liberals toward the Jewish people.
The story of Harry Truman is a perfect example. Jews are still blinded from the reality of Harry Truman's real character, possessed by a romanticized version of his love for the Jewish people. Whenever a Jew opened his mouth, the story of Truman's Jewish partner in the Haberdashery business came flying through his teeth.
The fact is Truman not only found Jews distasteful and repulsive, but he even thought of his Jewish partner as a burden he had to bear because Truman couldn't find any gentile in town who would trust him with his cash. It is a historical fact that Truman never invited his partner to his home, never even asked him if he was happy or healthy – he only cared if his hand could move enough to sign a check.
The vulgarity of the language with which Truman reacted to Jacobson's pleas about the recognition of Israel would add up to enough filthy words to produce five pornographic movies. Most Jews are familiar with this story, but since love is blind, even if you could identify and prove every word of it they would still be too blind to believe it.
But as inconceivable as the Jewish love affair was with President Truman, love is never more blind in the persistent worship of the Jews at the altar of Franklin D. Roosevelt. In this case, their love was not only blind, it also defied reason. Hitler was determined to kill the Jews, but many Jews needlessly died because Roosevelt totally ignored their plight and, in some cases, even helped Hitler to do it.
When Jews were fleeing the death chambers in Germany toward the borders of America, it was the heartlessness of Franklin D. Roosevelt that forced them back to their destruction. Whenever Jews in America were aroused about Roosevelt's callousness to their fate, he reacted as if he were a mindless robot who couldn't see them or hear them, as if the murder of the Jews was comparable to killing cockroaches in the kitchen.
His impatience with the persistence of Jewish complaints became so great that, in an uncontrollable rage, he even attacked Robert Morganthau, his Jewish secretary of the Treasury, yelling that Jews should stop complaining because he felt Jews should thank God they were allowed to live in America without suffering the fate of the Jews in Germany.
Why does the history of the anti-Semitic inhumanities of Presidents Roosevelt and Truman have no effect on the Jewish love affair with the Democratic Party? Why do they ignore the contempt of these presidents for the lives of Jews? Obviously, it is because Jews worship the Democratic Party as crusaders for the underprivileged.
And because the Jew spends his life fighting for acceptance and respect by making more and more money so that he can have the longest boat, the most modern kitchen, the most marbled toilets, the deepest swimming pool, the biggest house with the highest ceiling, he is tormented by a guilt-ridden conscience that taught him a good Jew does not spend his life pursuing greed and opportunism, and that a selfish life is a wasted one.
Because a Jew is always struggling to overcome his fear of worthlessness, he spends his time finding ways to prove he not only has a big fortune, but that he has an even bigger heart. That is why when he gives to charities, such as a hospital that will put his name on it. He becomes a member of a club where there are special events where his charity will be announced. He joins a temple were a rabbi will give him a special seat next to the Holy Torah.
His main ambition is to become rich enough to give so much to charity that he will be asked to be the main speaker at a dinner in his honor, where pictures of him will be taken all night so he can look at them the rest of his life to remind himself that he made money not for himself, but because of his compassion and selfless devotion to humanitarian causes.
To avoid any connection to his materialistic values, he has to reject and even hate the Republicans. To think of any connection with a far-right Republican frightens him more than a firing squad in Saudi Arabia. That is why when far-right Republicans dedicate themselves to fight for the survival of Israel – and even have to overcome Democratic Party opposition to what they consider to be the biblical, God-given right of the Jewish people to possess the Holy Land – they are met with suspicion, as though they were building a smoke screen for their basic anti-Semitism, instead of being met with appreciation and applause.
The Jews have achieved a lopsided self-destructive direction because of their blind love for the Democrats – they are married to a party that cares little or nothing about the Jews here or in the state of Israel.
Because Jewish politics are typically liberal.
Perhaps because most American Jews are more liberal than Jewish.
Because they are much more frightened of conservative Christians than militant Muslims. It doesn't have to make sense...

"Prayer in schools" freaks Jews out. Anyone in their mid-50s or older remembers having to say Christian-themed prayers in school. There's a good reason why President Bush does NOT dwell on that particular issue, but other conservatives do feel it's important.
The Jewish vote has been owned by the Democratic party for years, simply because most Jews have agreed with liberal positions. Their loyalty is not going to change because of position taken by Bush on Israel because they instinctively reject anyone from the conservative side.
Despite their reputation for free enterprise, there has always been a sizeable number, perhaps a majority, of Jews who support state socialism as a theory.
I remember my 3rd grade teacher (1963) Mr.Sklaroff, who refused to say "under God" during the Pledge of A.
For those two seconds, his big booming voice went eerily missing amongst all these high pitched 8 year olds.
I also remember saying the 23rd Psalm, and occasionally the Lord's Prayer. "My Father who art in heaven...." in public school.
