IS IT JUST ME ....
Neil Boortz ^ | May 18, 2005

Posted on 05/18/2005 5:45:04 AM PDT by SueRae

My sentiments exactly!

IS IT JUST ME ....

... or are some of the rest of you getting just a little bit tired of all of the butt kissing we're delivering to disgruntled Muslims out there. This whole flap over the faulty Newsweek story is starting to get under several different patches of my skin.

Reuters is reporting from Islamabad that the Pakistani government remains unhappy with Newsweek. Well, don't feel pregnant, Pakistan. But Pakistani Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed pushes things just a bit with his statement that we need to work harder at understanding the sensitivities of the Islamic people. He says "The apology and retraction are not enough. "They (Newsweek) should understand the sentiments of Muslims and think 101 times before publishing news which hurt feelings of Muslims."

Sorry, pal. I'm not buying it. I getting just a bit beyond the point where I'm all bent out of shape trying to understand Islamic sensitivities. If there is something about your religion that should make me feel badly about poor Muslims getting their feelings hurt, you had better get it out there on the table now. All I see is a religion that seems to take great pleasure in passing condemnations and "death sentences" on various people around the world for all sorts of meaningless infractions of some great system of Islamic law.

I'm just not going to get all worked up worrying about the sensitivities of devotees of a religion that will stone a woman to death for adultery, while letting the man go unpunished.

Sensitivity would not be the word to describe how I feel about a religion that is in some way involved in more than 95% of the actual shooting conflicts and wars around the world.

This should be reprinted on leaflets and dropped throughout the moslem world.

When they get really pissed off, they can shoot their rifles into the air and show the world how smart they are when they kill and maim their own buddies.

We could hand out bullets for their rioting convenience.

Not clear enough yet?

Sensitive my Butt.
When they have the upper hand they kill people in droves.
How sensitive do you have to be to Hack off somebody's Head.
How about the guy who shot the woman thru the back of the head for some accusation of adultry.
They also intend to kill all Christians and Jews not to mention anyone who they consider to be an infidel.
Oh Yeah they are a sensitive lot, Bunk.

I think we need to forget the butt kissing and start making a few threats of our own. For instance, if they ever harm another American, we're all gonna do something unmentionable to their precious korans.

Let us see if knowing that their actions would result in the desecration of hundreds or thousands or korans by individual Americans makes them play nice.

Just remember that it was Egypt and Syria who deliberately and intentionally chose Yom Kippur as the start date for their war against Israel in 1973, knowing a sneak attack would be more likely during this holiest of holy days for Jews. But the rest of the world is supposed to walk on egg shells to avoid offending the sentivities of animals who strap bombs to kids, slaughter children in schoolhouses, push old men in wheelchairs off cruise ships, massacre atheletes in Munich, slam passenger airliners into skyscrapers, etc.? When I start to hear outrage from the other supposedly "moderate" members of this fanatic religion regarding these acts of barbarism I've mentioned, then they can talk about hurt feelings and I'll pay attention. If they want respect for their beliefs, then how about first showing respect for other faiths?

Muslims who think they are trying to "moderate" Muslim sensibilities have yet to deal with a core issue that will always keep Muslims in a belligerent state with everyone else. They are the first to complain about some perceived lack of sensitivity or some perceived evidence of intolerance, and yet in their own practices, particularly in Muslim dominant countries with a "Muslim" government, they are the most intolerant cultures on the planet. Single copy of the Quran is "possibly" placed in/on a toilet and the Muslim world goes nuts; while Christians and their churches are discriminated against with impunity all over Pakistan and a judge in Saudi Arabia sentenced some Christian Pakistanis to long terms in jail simply for practicing their religion in the privacy of their quarters. In many Muslim countries, a son or daughter who tries to marry a Christian is signing his or her own death warrant, which will be carried out by his or her own family; and if they do, no one will be prosecuted.

The truth is, that in Muslim Mosques throughout the west, the same level of intolerance to others is preached daily. In France, the clerics have pretty much succeeded in teaching Muslim children that they are not "French" at all, they are "Muslim". When students in Paris protested a few months back, over some issue regarding schools, young Mulsim men and boys lined the streets and spit and shouted at the protesting students, calling them the "dirty French". It is not an abberation, it is part of Muslim culture the world over; intolerance towards others is expected.

There are times when I think we should started this war with demonstration nuclear strikes against Kandahar and Kabul and that we should conduct crowd control and riot suppression with flamethrowers and miniguns.

We need to teach how little we really care about their "sensibilities." A religion that murders rape victims for "adultery" doesn't deserve respect. It deserves extermination. Still, pretending to cater to their delicate feelings is probably easier than killing them all.

I read parts of it myself and agree with your findings. I have always had an inclination to respect others and their beliefs when they allow me the same freedoms.

A following that saws people's heads off, desecrates others bodies, and goes for mass murder is a vile, ignorant and evil following and deserves the retribution it receives.

I suspect we are going to be in a fight to the finsh. I am proposing a threat and not for taking any actions unless it is called for. :-)

Sensitivity toward Muslims....What about sensitivity towards the Christians across the Globe who are persecuted and killed each day?

The Church I attend sends many missionaries throughout the world to spread the Good News of Christ. One family - My Bible Study leader - lived in Africa for many years, raised her American children there while she and her husband built schools, Churches and taught the African people of Christ and His sacrifice and love.

Several years ago, a rebel group broke into the camp during the night, killing many missionaries - my leader's husband was one of them. He was killed in the presence of his wife and children.

His son returned to the states, enrolled in Bible College, and is preparing to return to Africa - the exact same village - to continue the work of his Father.

Tolerance will be shown to Muslims and others alike when they actually begin to walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

Judge not lest ye be Judged. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the Kingdom of God. Go ye therefore and teach ALL Nations...

If they desire 'sensitivity' to THEIR religion - then show sensitivity to others. Do not demand, do not consider Muslim to be above all others. If the Muslim religion is about Peace - as they so often claim - then LIVE IT, and Let the Peace begin with THEM. JK

Read this excerpt of the link below...Regards, CP

The requirement that dhimmis affirm and serve Islam greatly limits the repertoire of responses that dhimmified Christians can have towards it. Where there are grounds for confrontation, the only way of struggling permitted to the dhimmi is by saying soft things. Such political correctness is itself an injustice that needs to be exposed and challenged. This dynamic, when combined with the meanings of 'struggle' (jihad) that Islam claims as its divine right without apology of any kind, can intimidate and debilitate Christians who are free and do not live under Islam. The cumulative effect can be that the gross injustices come to seem as somehow excusable or unexceptional. An infamous example is the weak international response today to the persecution of non-Muslims (not just Christians) under Islam. This is epitomized in the slavish attitude adopted by Mary Robinson, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, in a statement she read to an Organisation of Islamic Conference Symposium on Human Rights in Islam held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva in 2002.

After offering praise Robinson adopts the strategy of affirming the inherent righteousness of Islam:

"It is important to recognize the greatness of Islam, its civilizations and its immense contribution to the richness of the human experience, not only through profound belief and theology but also through the sciences, literature and art."

The Dhimmitude of the West

Dear Sheikh, Minister, Potentate, Enlightened, Rashid Ahmed:

Personally, I think we should ALL order a fee copy of the “piece of trash” (CAIR is offering them for free—albeit, the “sanitized” version, absent the “direction to kill all Infidels") and schedule, coordinated book burnings in different parts of the country (at high noon) with plenty of advance media notification.

I say, if they want something to get exercised about, and go off on a killing spree, lets give it to them.

As a starting point the President or Condi should say that we take threats seriously. You can protest and complain - that's your right. If, however, you advocate violence against the US, or declare war against the US, or declare jihad against the US, then you have chosen to start a war. History is full of countries that have started wars that the US finished.
