Committing a crime is bad behavior. Ding...ding...ding! We have a winner. Now, don't lose that thought. Most people who look at the occassional nudie flick or magazine don't commit crimes either. Know why? Because they made the choice not to. Period. End of story.

So if one person is allergic to bees, we should eradicate all bees? Kind of like not allowing PB&J in school lunchrooms.
To: AppyPappy
The taste of Coke is what influenced my behavior. Not the commercials. Don't be stupid.

No. It wasn't. Just admit you want porn outlawed and monitoring of all bedrooms to ensure compliance with your own brand of Blue Laws.

Pornography is socially unacceptable. (I know you will be arguing MTV and the like...)
If watching or displaying pornography is socially acceptable behavior, walk down the street browsing a copy of some pornographic magazine and check out the reactions you will get. Try and give it to a child with their parent present and see what type of reaction you will get. Watch porn in broad daylight in your front yard.

Some wives like porn too, believe it or not.

Hobby? Not exactly a hobby. Why? ARen't you getting any? Want to live vicariously through me? Or are you just trying to drum up a good head of rigtheous indignation?
I've got 3 kiddies under age 4, so the "getting any" argument is pretty well moot, I'd say.
I'm going to assume from your response that your wife doesn't know about your "other girlfriends." I've seen how porn has affected the lives of some of my family and friends--all very negative. I'd urge you to stop, and if you can't, talk to your priest/preacher. Porn addiction is a scourge.

So if one person is allergic to bees, we should eradicate all bees?It doesn't take long to find the strawmen. Who said anything about getting rid of bees? Maybe we just want people to be aware of the bee problem.

Checking out child pornography or child rape videos is a crime, and rightly so.

Pornography is socially unacceptable. I find you socially unacceptable. Does this mean I can outlaw you?

And why bother to look at porn if porn = water? Why not just turn on a faucet?

I know it. Some wives also share their husband's addiction to alcohol. It's much more common that the wife is revolted by the idea, though.

I guess talking about the harm of porn is "outlawing" it now. I guess discussing the harm of the Democrats is the same as outlawing them.

OK, just to be clear we are not advocating banning porn. Porn should be safe legal and available.
To: Antoninus
Ah. So I'm sexually disfunctional now. Nice of you to be able to judge me so quickly.
I should have known better than to have this argument here. The more things around here change, the more things stay the same.
Also, the wife knows. Has enjoyed it on occassion. Neither of us is "addicted", except maybe to each other. Ect... Not that it is any of your damn business.
