Let’s see….

What has the UN leadership called us in the last 15 months?

Which senior UN leader hasn’t insulted us in the last 15 months?

Be it war or humanitarian relief we are the worse nation in the world; or so the UN leadership has told the world.

Like a spoiled 5-year old brat - they want to do what they want, when they want, and how they want and expect us to continue, nay raise, their comfort level. I have raised children and this is NOT how to deal with this kind of behavior.

Here is my suggestion: Every time a UN leader who has insulted us (Kofi - an illegal war after Saddam had violated how many UN approved sanctions for example) stands before the international press, in public, and explains that his previous statements were in error and why; we pay the UN 1 % above our current dues. For every month they don’t we reduce our dues by 1 %.

What do you think our dues will look like in four years?

Do you honestly think we will be paying what we are paying right now?

I think someone should tell the UN and Kofi to go get bent!

I think we should just tell them to go and then proceed to throw them out of the U.S., permanently freezing our dues.

The League of Nations failed, the United Nations failed.

If at first you don’t succeed, screw it.

And how many hundreds of millions of dollars does the UN now want to gussy-up its headquarters in New York City? For the money the UN wants it should it could construct a brand new headquarters in, say, Semipalitinsk.

'U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan's chief of staff yesterday acknowledged that scandals involving Iraq, peacekeeping and human rights have hurt the world body, but said any move to freeze or cut U.S. dues would set back the cause of reform."

LOL.

We really have so much faith in the reformation of the UN......right!

Cut the U.S. dues! We need to cut the U.S deficit anyways. :)

SEE MY POST:

SHOWDOWN AT THE U.N . CORAL (American Sovereignty Restoration Act, H.R. 1146)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1405432/posts

Also, an Analysis of the "American Sovereignty Restoration Act", (H.R. 1146) by Henry Titus.

http://www.thelibertycommittee.org/hr1146analysis.htm.

"The Charter of the United Nations is neither politically nor legally binding upon the United States of America or the American people."

"Even if the Charter of the United Nations were a properly-ratified treaty, it wouldstill be constitutionally illegitimate and void because it transgresses the Constitution of the United States of America in three major respects:

1. "It unconstitutionally delegates to the United Nations the U.S. Congress' legislative power to initiate war and the U.S. president's executive power to conduct war;

2. It unconstitutionally transfers to the United Nations General Assembly the United States House of Representatives' exclusive power to originate revenue-raising measures; and,

3. It unconstitutionally robs the 50 American states of powers reserved to them by the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America."

A long read, but well worth the effort.

GUARANTEED TO GET YOUR BLOOD BOILING—AND WILL PROD MOST TO ACTION!

More than ever, we NEED a BOLTON, to keep this Oligarchy (A system of government where power is vested in a considerable number of people, but not in the whole population) in check, until we can manage to get the USA out of the UN and the UN out of the USA.

"Let's move them out of the US..."

Good idea. How about we move the UN to Somalia? After all, they say their intentions are good and they need to help the world's oppressed and duressed; why not move the UN to a location where it will be hands-on and feet on the ground?

What the hell can they do in New York, except go to parties, park illegally, conclude crooked business deals, and score American white chicks?

What are they going to do? Put blue helmets on the Canadian Army and send them south? Why don't we deduct all the parking tickets they run up. They'll probably owe us money.

Isn't Kofi like totally discredited by now? Doesn't his son have like Swiss accounts full of oil-for-food money?

Thank the Rockefellers for the UN.

I'm a nationalist!

I trust my government FOR WHICH I VOTE more than a world body I can't control nor is liable for anything.

I trust my government more than a world organization which refuses to let people have INSIGHT despite that fact that we pay them.

I trust my courts more that some kangaroo courts the UN may put US troops in front of.

I think that Sudan has no right telling us much about human rights.

I believe it’s a farce to have Iraq on the WMD non-proliferation committee within the UN.

I don’t take a nation like Libya talking about democracy very seriously.

Cut their heart out! Stop their money, stop aiding them militarily. Stop paying for their facilities and infrastructure which the host nation must ALSO pay for. We alone make up over 1/5 their budget I believe. Cutting them off is a death sentence and they know it.

It might concern me...if I honestly thought that there was any reform movement at the UN.

Yeah, let's parse this...the nations that believe the UN needs to be reformed will change their minds, deciding the UN does NOT need reform, if the US withholds its dues. I say evict the bunch of them--that piece of Manhattan property would bring some nice tax revenue. We could start by NOT sending John Bolton--or anybody else. What if they gave a UN meeting and nobody (from the US) came?

My sentiments exactly. Leaving the position vacant will send a stronger message than Bolton ever can.
