I have to say, I've never been in MS, and so took the reference at face value - maybe I shouldn't have.

Well, I thought the same thing. Why in the world are you so against Wal Mart and not the other chains? It sure isn't the made in China deal. I was in a well known department store. Just about everything I picked up was made over there!

Excuse me. Just who are the losers who work at Wal Mart? The people I see are students looking for a little extra money or retired people getting out of the house. A loser can better themselves if they want to. It is a matter of priority.

WJC was a big promoter of that.

Capitalism has not run amok as you say. My husband got fed up with working for the people he worked for so he started his own company. Times were bad for a while but we had a dream and kept at it. Poor little you. The people I see at fast food chains are usually high school students. I have never had Starbucks because I do not like coffee. Give me some good old Southern tea.

My ancestors were over here before the Revolution War. In fact, some were here before the first settlers came over here. Let's see, I have ancestors from Scotland, Ireland, England, France or Germany depending on where Alsace-Lorraine was way back then and Native American. I really enjoy doing genealogy research and learning about my ancestors and what they went through to settle this country.

Like someone said, you really need to get rid of all that anger.

hey, those people can use money too. great, it's a free country. but don't pretend you're doing anything but providing sub-subsistence level of income for families other than the manager's. (and the good folks in China)

Our house payment is only $425 a month. I must admit that we bought it many years ago. It is 3 br, 1 1/2 bath, dining room, kitchen, great room that runs the width of the house, a raised patio, plus a 3/4 acre lot. It also has a full basement where hubby keeps his large bass fishing boat, his Yukon, an exercise room plus storage space.

What does free market have to do with wars?

Many wars were caused by the social crisis and instability. Problems can be exported or solved by warfare.

Nothing directly. I was pointing to the fact that what what things are necessary is relative to the country/culture/climate etc ...

People must insulated housing and heat in cold climate, otherwise they will revolt or die.

In Central America you can do without heating. The living wage in Russia/Canada includes the cost of heating. In Central America it does not.

I am a Bible believing fundamentalist and believe me I am no simpleton!!!! Do you consider all Southern Baptists simpletons? If so, you need to be pitied.

I can tell you what real joy is. It is losing a beloved daughter before her time and finding out you can still smile. Her birthday is on June 2---the 2nd year without her. Even in the midst of heart wrenching grief, I can smile!! That is what she would want me to do.

I just posted a message to her about losing Jan. It is a joy that I can smile even in the midst of the most heart wrenching grief any parent can go through. Her birthday is June 2nd.

If there is any truth about the woman who got laid off one day shy of her bonus, then Wal-Mart is not worthy of any employee loyalty.
