The Arkansas connection was not yet known. Fascinatingly, it was reported a few months before Vincent Foster's mysterious death. By one theory with strong supporting evidence, this revelation was too much for Foster, who was a sort of paymaster for the tainted blood scheme. He was OK on the usual Arkansas scams but this blood swindle had turned into international disaster of disease and death. The thinking is, he planned to come clean about it. The rest of the Dixie mafiosi in the White House tried desperately to talk him out of it. When that failed, he was dead the next day.

If that is a tolerably accurate account, Hillary must have known in advance because she dropped her week's schedule in California and rushed back to Little Rock. Then, within hours of his death, she directed the ransacking of Foster's office and absconded with his files. The legal name for that is "obstruction of justice."

We are concerned with the Arkansas tainted blook scandal. It primarily spread disease through infected blood plasma products rather than whole blood transfusions. One of those products, Factor 8, is used by hemophiliacs to aid in blood clotting so that they can lead fairly normal lives. Hemophiliacs were thus the first and hardest-hit victims of the infected plasma.

Oh I thought the plasma was tainted by HIV and other virus products- I guess HIV was not introduced into the USA blood supply by actions of Homosexuals - guess I missed the part where HIV was not part of the problem.

The principal contaminant of the prison plasma was Hepatitis C, not HIV. That does not fit the San Francisco pattern. The principal victims were hemophiliacs, not gays. That doesn't fit the San Francisco pattern either. The contaminated plasma at Cummins was as early or earlier -- 1978 -- than the first reported AIDS scare in San Francisco. That yet again suggests a different source of contamination, for there was no time for a homosexual culture on the coasts to infect a heterosexual population within a deep South prison. In fact, the inmates at Cummins were infected by experiments in plasmapheresis [plasma extraction] in the 1960s -- years before the first AIDS.

There were other sources of plasma, notably Haiti and east Africa. Those are much more likely to be the source of blood-borne viruses, including HIV, among predominantly black inmates of southern prisons.

The spelling errors you refer to are just an obvious attempt to see if you are anal enough to be concerned not about the message ideas but prose.I would now presume that the subject is; spelling, punctuation and grammar rules?

Sorry, I missed your note earlier today.

We documented a lot of it here in Free Republic. Bill did much more than look the other way. Throughout all six of his gubernatorial terms he actively lobbied for the blood plasma program, defended it, revived it when the feds shot it down. We had reason to believe that the Clintons were paid off for these favors big-time -- in Democrat-controlled Arkansas of that era, every important deal was approved by, and paid off to, the governor's office. That was one-party rule at work. This was a multimillion-dollar scam, so the payoffs must have been huge. The doctor who ran the tainted blood scheme admitted to making $500,000 a year from it, and heaven knows how much more he managed to conceal. Bill always specialized in the politics, Hill was always the greedy one, and she handled the money.

There was no elephant in the room. The tainted blood story is mainly about Hepatitis C. I explained that to you politely in #44. We have looked into the sources of contamination. It is a huge subject that does not reduce to flaming about homosexual activists in San Francisco. You are 600+ threads behind.
