Woman says key chain was in her burger
The Associated Press ^ | June 18, 2005

MIDDLETOWN -- A Middletown woman who bought a double cheeseburger at a fast food drive-through says she chipped a tooth on a keychain when she bit into the sandwich.

Penny Needham says she’s talking to a lawyer. The manager of the McDonald’s restaurant has asked police to investigate how the keychain got into the burger.

In March, a Las Vegas woman told police she found a fingertip in a bowl of chili at a Wendy’s restaurant in San Jose, California. That woman has been jailed on charges that she planted the finger in the chili.

Maybe they are mine. I've been trying to start my car with a slice of pickle.

Does this qualify as one of those "metal in the cheese" burger stories?

Give her the cost of the dental work and her lost pay for that day and tell her to go home and get a life.

Sounds like a great promotion. Buy a hamburger get a keychain absolutely free!

Reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons in which Krusty the Clown had a promotion for his "Krusty-Oh's" cereal (a take-off on Cheerios). In each box you were challenged to find a jagged metal Krusty Oh that was mixed in with all the other regular oat Krusty Ohs. Woo-hoo! ... D'OH!

Believe it or not, I actually found two little pieces of onion in my whopper the other day. It was hard to tell at first, cause as usual, the burger looked like it had been run over by an 18-wheeler.
