You know, the funny thing is the governments are all exempt from this "maximizing tax revenues" on their own property holdings.

Light pollution is trespass.

I have to see if Idaho law treats it as such. Besides the idiot neighbor and his yard lights, the new building has windows on all 4 sides where the inside office lighting spills into 5 backyards. I would be satisified if the business killed the internal and external lighting at 9 PM each day. There isn't usually anything of astronomical interest before that time.

It is getting bad generally. If one miscreant is shut down or educated into neighborly behavior, another one pops up right away. I suppose they don't have much of this problem in N Kor.

I noticed most of the people at DU were upset about it (rightfully so) but the NYT editorial was in agreement.

I stupidly thought that the NYtimers just sorta did Marxism cuz they thought it was cool. I was way wrong, it's the red diapers on the march. I saw the enemy and it was us.

I'm more afraid of liberals than Muslims

The New York Times has been a direct beneficiary of this process, so at least their stance is not hypocritical.
