This 4th of July weekend buy USA products ONLY

Posted on 06/27/2005 7:40:45 AM PDT by Sun

I bet you can do it for those three days at least.

Let's show the manufacturers what we can do if we want to. Let's send them a message that we want USA products and jobs in the USA.

Let's hear it for independence on Independence Day.

Maybe reading this article by Bill Gertz will give us the incentive to AT LEAST not buy Chinese products.

Here's a few snippets:

Chinese dragon awakens
By Bill Gertz
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
June 26, 2005
Part I

China is building its military forces faster than U.S. intelligence and military analysts expected, prompting fears that Beijing will attack Taiwan in the next two years, according to Pentagon officials.

China's economy has been growing at a rate of at least 10 percent for each of the past 10 years, providing the country's military with the needed funds for modernization.

For Pentagon officials, alarm bells have been going off for the past two years as China's military began rapidly building and buying new troop- and weapon-carrying ships and submarines.

Read the whole article; it's not that long.

I mean no offense, but I think things like this are a load of crap, much like the "Nobody buy gas on (pick the day) and we'll really show those Arabs/Oil Companies/Politicians!"

"Hey, I used your link ;)"

WTG. It is provided by a conservative, patriotic talk show host, Andrew Wilcow. He has a show on NYC's WABC on Sunday mornings, and Albany's WGY, M-F 9 - noon. You can listen to him online.

If you like the link, you can give him a call and thank him.

I just got off the phone with my mother. She's a truck driver and is just pulling out of Laredo with a load of Corona caps from Mexico.

Sorry, but I can't fully comply with this until an American distiller can make a fine single-malt scotch according to the Islay traditions.

"I always do my best to take care of the American worker."

We Americans have got to start sticking together.

I know if we need a computer part, it's impossible to buy products NOT made in China. So we do the best we can.

We need to call our congresscritters, and maybe even tell them about the Bill Gertz article.

Buying Chinese products is fueling Chinese military build-up which they will use against us.

I don't like unions (because they contribute to libs), but I like the USA!! and like China less than unions.

It's the unions, particularly the UAW, that have crippled US manufacturing and provided the incentive to move manufacturing to places like China.

The UAW is the reason GM and Ford are about to implode.

My Daniel Cremieux ties all say made in the USA (despite the french sounding name). If you got to wear a #$%@ tie, might as well wear the best ties you can buy. I give them as gifts to foreign business guests.
