My own personal view on the cover-up is that Clinton didn't want to deal with global terrorism, or with the growing necessity for dealing with Saddam Hussein.

That...and there was an immediate political benefit to casting "right-wing wackos" as the perpetrators of the Murrah Building attack.

Clinton and the Democrats had just lost Congress to the Republican revolution, remember. In April, 1995, President Clinton had become an irrelevancy. Blaming the attack on right-wing militias made him relevant again.

Without having to go to all the trouble of getting serious about Middle Eastern terrorism, of course...

Doug, that is an excellent idea - Hire Mark Fuhrman !!

They tried to demonize him during the OJ debacle, but he sure as hell nailed that Skakel scum for the death of Martha -----ack, her last name went right out of my head.

BTW, I think I saw mentioned that he was going to Aruba to investigate Natalee's disappearance, (speaking of gov't corruption)

If we had more "peaches" in this battle, I have no doubt arrests would be made. Thanks, Peach.

I called Specter's office periodically after his interview with Jayna, and finally the suit on the phone told me that Arlen had investigated but there wasn't anything there, (paraphrasing, of course)

You obviously have been following developments very closely. Yes, the 9-11 commissions questions former FBI Director Freeh about my research but never called me. I write about the behind-the-scenes movement that brought my book to the hearings on April 13, 2004 and the decision to ignore it from that point forward in the "afterword" of the paperback. When you have a moment, go to your local book store and read the addendum to The Third Terrorist. It's 35 pages and there is no need to purchase it. You can read the updates in less than an hour.

Chapter 11 of my book address the egregious public disservice conducted by Specter and his staff. His actions will leave you outraged.

Jayna, re: post 50 on this thread.

Do you think the WTC '93 bombing, OKC, and TWA 800 are all related to Iraqi terrorists?

Are you aware of a pilot suing under FOIA, for information on TWA 800? He believes it was shot down. Again, loads of witnesses, who were deemed "not credible".

Jayna, I'm embarrassed to say I haven't read your book yet. I'm getting it tomorrow for my 4th of July family reunion week. Hopefully, I'll awaken some interest among our (huge) family.

I have not personally investigated the downing of TWA 800 but am hopeful that the pilot's lawsuit will yield more evidence. Chapter 14 of my book tells of a loose, yet intriguing potential connection between the Iraqi suspects in OKC and the downing of TWA. Once again, this is speculation on my part, but based, in large part, upon an extraordinary timeline of events.

Thanks for that information.

I'm going to buy the paperback too and after I read it donate it to our local library.

I want it to have a wider readership.

the following is text from a message I sent to dfu on a previous thread (April) when you were going to be on the rightalk program...

(dfu's post on the thread)Bill Clinton used the OKC bombing to save his presidency. He then concentrated on the dreaded right wing militias instead of the real culprits --- the Islamofascists who were allowed to grow until they took down the Twin Towers.

My response...

****** The week after OKC, I happened to be on the East Coast, chaperoning 38 high school foreign exchange students. On Tuesday morning of that week, while in NYC, we went to the NBC Studios in hope of getting some face time for our organization on the Today show.

While standing on the streetcorner, a couple of NBC pages were out soliciting the crowd with "free tickets" to a television show. Our group accepted the offer and were were in the studio audience of the Phil Donohue Show.

Donohue had received his talking points from the Clinton White House. The entire show was a hit piece against the right wing militia groups. They had satelite hook-ups to some reps of a Michigan Militia group. That developed into a gun-grabbing diatribe by Donohue.

Just a little tidbit from my perspective of events following the assault on OKC. We did, btw, have a student in our group who was living in OKC. She really didn't have much to say on the subject.

I have to jump out.

Doug...I'd like to see a formal plan of action among freepers and will help any way I can.

A thread posted to breaking news or activism might help. Let me know what I/we can do and I'll do whatever you want.

We have GOT to put more pressure on Congress.

I was watching "30 Days" last night, were the guy lives like a Muslim for 30 days. During the show, one of the real Muslims pointed out how it was the Christian, McVeigh who brought down the OKC building...and nobody said anything bad about Christians.

Aside from the fact that I don't even know if McVeigh was a practicing Christian, this Muslim obviously missed the furor that followed, as militia groups, right-wingers and talk-radio were all targeted...by no less than the President of the US. If Bush...or anyone, had made these same accusations that Clinton made, the lawsuits would've been flying. These people see only what they want to see.

Jayna, how's this for an idea:

Why don't those of us who don't yet have your paperback donate our hardbacks to our local library -- and get ourselves your updated paperback?!?

Just checked: The local public library does not have your book. The next time I drive into town, they will -- and perhaps Amazon will have my PB here by then...

Blessings and prayers for you and your family!
