The American hand in Iran
Asia Times ^ | 06 July | Trish Schuh

Posted on 07/05/2005 9:26:34 PM PDT by ttsmi

Using the incendiary style he perfected for "Swiftboat veteran" television attack advertisements, Corsi declares, "Islam is a peaceful religion as long as the women are beaten, the boys buggered and the infidels killed." Comparing Islam to a disease, he added, "How's this for an analogy? The Koran is simply the 'software' for producing deviant cancer cell political behavior and violence in human beings' and Islam is like a virus. It affects the mind. Maybe even better as an analogy: it is a cancer that destroys the body it infects. No doctor would hesitate to eliminate cancer cells from the body." In April 2004 Corsi said, "Let's see why it isn't the case that Islam is a worthless, dangerous, Satanic religion. Where's the proof to the contrary?"

This is the second thread you've posted that has already been posted before. See http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1436935/posts for this one's previous posting. To ensure that you're not posting a repeat, use the search feature to look for the exact phrase of the article's headline. It's worth digging deeper sometimes to verify that articles haven't been published under different headlines from other sources. Develop ping lists if you want to attract attention to particular articles.

But Corsi has expressed very different opinions on Islam in the past. According to his own postings on FreeRepublic.com, on November 18, 2001 Corsi used a racial slur to define Arabs: "Ragheads are boy-bumpers [sodomizers] as clearly as they are women haters - it all goes together."

Oops.

"Oops! Sorry. I'll keep that in mind."

If not posted here I would not have read it.

Don't get too uptight about criticism from people who have been members of this for 36 days, and already fancy themselves "junior moderators of the universe". Being anal retentive wasn't always a prerequisite for joining FreeRepublic. Some of us old timers don't feel that double postings are a capital offense. Don't sweat the small stuff, especially when hurled by newbies.

Being as I live on the other side of the globe, many articles flagged as "already posted" are the ones I see 1st.
While I fully support the use of the search feature prior to posting, just remember us folks in a completely different time zone might miss something iof you don't post it.

After reading that infuriating article by yet another islamist reporter - "Trish Schuh has worked with ABCnews, al-Arabiya, Tehran Times, MehrNews, Syria Times, Iran News Daily and Muslim's Weekly. She studied Arabic and Islam in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon, and recently observed the presidential elections in Iran." - your post brought a smile to my face. There are a lot of those "anal retentives" over there in Iran too, unfortunately.

The linear nature of the "latest posts" reading approach is kind of frustrating. What we need is a latest/best/relevant-to-my-interests-by-multiple-keyword mode.

Seems like anything of consequence is posted multiple times from different sources. Might be from AP the first time, then a newspaper, then a commentary. The headlines and even the body may vary.

There is more to it than a simple search to avoid that, and anyway, the differences in the versions might be important. My feeling is if the admin doesn't contact you over it, then don't worry about it and keep on posting!

###

Article 175, Iran's Constitution...

The freedom of expression and dissemination of thoughts in the Radio and Television [includes newspapers] of the Islamic Republic of Iran must be guaranteed in keeping with the Islamic' criteria and the best interests of the country. The appointment and dismissal of the head of the Radio and Television of the Islamic Republic of Iran rests with the Leader. A council consisting of two representatives each of the President, the head of the judiciary branch and the Islamic Consultative Assembly shall supervise the functioning of this organization. The policies and the manner of managing the organization and its supervision will be determined by law.

###

Trish Schuh is without a doubt an agent of the Iranian government. Journalists who work for the Iranian state are under the direct authority of the Supreme Leader and cannot be considered impartial. Freedom of the press is not implied or assumed in this case. This article isn't worth the HTML it’s posted with and its author is a minion of the world’s worst state sponsor of terrorism...

Although posting it twice doesn't bother me in principle, it probably shouldn't have been posted at all because the author is working for the enemy. Trish Schuh may find it easy to dissent against those who would like to see the mullahs ousted. Point dissent at your boss the Supreme Leader Trish and see what happens... or would that be un-Islamic!?!?!?!
