I actually like this roll call. It's outing a lot of "republicans".
McMaverick and McHagel will never win the nomination.

They just messed up Hatch's vote on the floor. Very amusing to listen to.

Well, the real vote will be whether or not the GOP votes against the Reid amendment. Neither amendment really belongs in this bill - but the Frist amendment was an appropriate response for the silly Reid amendment to keep the Democrats from being able to take control of the debate with their idiocy on Rove.
To: ken5050
Because it's a 'second degree' amendment. That is, it appends/amends the first one (Reid's).

Voinobitch voted no as well.
This is a good guide to "Who's not really a Republican". And Arlen Specter may be revealing himself to not be a RINO, but just an attention whore, who will pretend to be a RINO if you don't watch him.
To: Howlin
FWIW I think both amendments will fail. The Frist amendment only amends the Reid one. Therefor we will have had a fruitless yet illuminating two hours. But at least the RINOs are out in the open once more.

I haven't examined it entirely. I view it more as a loyalty vote and a certain number of Republicans would never vote for it, so don't have to worry about whether it is sound.
It's guarenteed to get at least 6 to defeat it. That leaves the other other Republicans free to use the vote as they choose, and I find it interesting which "republicans" choose to vote "no" on what is no more, no less, than a protest vote against the nonsense of the Dems amendment.
