A sort-of downside is that the authorities may have lost an opportunity for some intel, but on the up side it sends a blunt message to would-be killers that being involved in terror activities will be hazardous to their health in a manner not of their own choosing.

Yes they seemed very quick with the finger pointing. I get so angry at these terrorist spawning countries when they attempt to shift blame to 3rd parties. the extremists are allowed to operate and train openly in these middle eastern countries. They should stop the duplicitous rhetoric and clean house. Then there would be no problem with ANY exported terrorism. But we know that won't happen as with one hand they take our money and speak platitudes and the other they give to terrorists to keep the peace at home.

First, we had to get our troops out of Saudi, because that's where Mecca is located. Then it was get them out of the whole Middle East.

I gave these terrorists the benefit of the doubt about Mecca...in my little pea brain, I thought it might be the equivalent of a country having its troops in the Vatican. But after 9/11 it became clear that they declared war on us and the only option is to fight until we win.
