How can I get a copy of a sealed tax return? How can I break into a "sealed" bank?
To ask a question which involves breaking the law may easily be seen as an inducement to others to do something illegal with the knowledge that the NYT, principled as they are, will shield the "source/perp." I believe sincerely this is not just an intellectual exercise on the part of NYT but rather the initial, albeit clumsy, steps of an illegal conspiracy to steal legally sealed and court protected records.
That's not real smart on the NYT part. I take it that the outside legal counsel is who talked?
I was assuming someone at the NYT asked for a legal avenue.
Yeah. Like snot nose Sulzberger's carry permit.
What business is this of the New York Times or anyone else???
FWIW, I'd say that's a big assumption.
I thought the children were adopted illegally in Ireland. (*snort*)
The one thing I have found in life, if you disagree with a corporation or a business doing something you don't like, the best way to bring them down is to hit them in the wallet, in this case, don't buy their rag.
Have you noticed in past years how the big media is handling things? ABC this last week will be getting kicked out of Russia; they did a dirty deed on Bush with Dan Rather; people don't like that, so they aren't watching their channel or news anymore, their decline is on a one way ride down....NBC says its having trouble in an article posted here today...its starting on a downward slid...
The major newspapers are having problems, they aren't selling newspapers, and alot contritbute it to the internet and cable, and some of it is because of that, BUT some of it is because people like me won't support their garbage...
Like I said the best way to get to something is thru the wallet.....
Yes it is what reporters do. What you are missing is the fact that records are sealed for just the reason the Times wants them. They can be used to damage the family. And society has drawn a bright line in the laws that govern adoption, seeing the greater good in protection of the sanctity of the family. Not arguing that this is always right, but there is no compelling reason for the good of the children, the birth parents, or the adoptive family to open these records. NO health issues, no inquiries by birth family, nothing that affects only the people directly involved. The Times has no interest in this adoption other than to find something to possibly disrupt it.
The Times wants to violate this, not in a good faith effort to know more about the nominee. You think its in good faith? The fact that they even wanted to go there tells everyone just what they were willing to do. IMHO
Quick question:
Could anyone tell me where the nickname "Pinch" came from regarding Sulzberger?
I'm thinking "pinch off a loaf", because a loaf of sh*t is just about the only product the NYT produces, but hey - that's just my interpretation!
So there's nothing wrong with the adoptions...
Yeah right. You see, the NY Times hates the fact that the adopted kids hadn't been aborted in the first place.
Maybe they themselves should never have been born.
There. That's my case for open abortion.{sarcasm/off}
Do you really think that they were looking for anything OTHER than a smear piece?!
It's why I included "legally" in my hypothetical question.
I'm just trying to give them the benefit of doubt because I want my side to always be digging too.
His father's nickname is "Punch".
I think it's just cutsey, little Punch = Pinch.
Probably not, but that's why some refer to politics as a contact sport or something even rougher.
Nope, no bias at the Slimes!
The Slimes building seethes with obsessed, fanatical Bush-haters. They will not give up in their quest to find some handfuls of mud to sling. If they find nothing, they will make something up.
We are not dealing with normal newspaper hierarchy or reporters here. They are rodents scurrying here and there in the darkness, looking for scraps of rotten excrement to publish in their vile rag.
They don't back down, they only shift their positions. They don't care what people like us think. They continue on with their appointed rounds as agents of the Prince of Darkness.
Only a well-placed silver stake will ever silence the New York Slimes.
Leni
Do you really think this upright & widely respected judge would have adopted illegally???
That's the only thing I can read from your post?????
