Well, Carter is truly a disgrace. What the hell were Americans smoking in the 70s to vote for this lunatic?

Carter was arguably the worst president in the history of the United States. No argument from me ...

On the heels of the Watergate scandal, the Dems would have won as long as their candidate did not drool on himself too much. Hence, President Jimmah.

Carter was a white Southerner. I'm a white Southerner. Carter was a Southern Baptist. I'm a Southern Baptist. Carter (and Clintoon) were Democrats. I never was.
But it amazes me that given their opportunities to come to the correct political philosphy, they so consistently didn't.

I used to think that Carter was just a decent guy who got in over his head as President (I was young when he was elected).
But in recent years I saw an interview with him on TV. The hubris of this man was stunning. One explanation for why he is still shooting off his mouth, despite being an ineffective one term President.
To: MikeEdwards
Carter is a small, petty, embittered failure not just as a President but also as a man.

Well, I didn't. The very last thing I did, on my way out of Baytown, Texas, to return to Alabama to live, was to stop at the polling place and vote
against Jimmy Carter. It's to bad, too. As a Southerner & Southern Baptist, I
wanted to vote for him.
But Jimmy would never state where he stood on important issues. That let me know exactly where he stood on them, and it wasn't where I was standing.
Thank God, at least, he's disassociated himself from us Southern Baptists. He was embarrassing the hell out of some of us.

The trouble with Carter ... is he was elected President. Before that he got elected Governor of Georgia. It's too bad he was ever let into the US Naval Academy.

What his current fans don't remember is how thoroughly the Lib/Dem establishment had turned on him towards the end.
The MSM was gleefully celebrating his every pratfall and the democrat establishment was actually taking Uncle Teddy's candidacy seriously for a time.

Carter was the worst President in my lifetime. He probably won because Ford was a RINO. But, I probably should thank Carter, because I think he had a part in electing Reagan.

Well let's give credit where it's due. Jimmah is, after all, the father of modern terrorism.
