Another ticket for another sign in Roseland. The latest was written Tuesday night for two patriotic signs outside the Knights Inn on State Road 933.
Town council members David and Dorothy Snyder say to display a sign you need a permit, and without one they say youre violating town code.
Harry Qashat is the manager at the Knights Inn and has a son is in the military. He says the signs are a freedom of expression issue.
Our troops are back there in Iraq fighting, getting killed, maimed, and injured, so I felt like putting a sign Support Our Troops -- thats all it was, he told NEWS22. Then all of the sudden I get a citation for the sign being out there.
Both Qashat and NEWS22 tried to ask Roseland Police Chief Larry Miller exactly what ordinance the signs violated, but he deferred all questions to David Snyder -- who has been unavailable for comment.
Qashat says he will keep the signs out there until someone from the town of Roseland can explain why he should take it down.
Are there no Indiana FReepers that could help?
That's what recall elections are for! Good luck.
Just some words that come to mind...free association so to speak...
Gee, I wonder what party the Snyders belong to. Can anybody help?
Such total scum...Where do they find such cretains?
Here is another article posted here earlier
A preview of things to come if Hillary is elected
That is bizarre.
coincidentally, I thought of the first two words all on my own!
When you have a husband and wife both on the city council it isnt a 3 person city council any more. Its 2 to 1 on every issue. Cant imagine a voting constituency stupid enough to allow this.
If anyone would like to call and offer their support to Harry Qashat, the manager at the Knights Inn. This is the number.
Signs are great and I am all for them. But also hope his support extends to a discount for active duty people. nothing says "we love you people" like a break on the cost.
Why not relax a little and drop that imperious view?
