This is odd...a leader of a country....just goes off without so much as "I'll call" and leaves an underling in charge....is this a normal thing in England?

He is either in Crawford or he is at some remote and isolated vacation spot and is planning his retirement...
can't hardly blame him either.

Not the last I knew. And it's really hard to pull off around the British press.

Just took a quick look at some of the British tabs. Nothing there about Blair going walkabout.

I remember last month reading about terrorists threats to Tuscany, Italy for July and August. They mentioned that he vacations there every summer, and that he was probably the target. Maybe because of this they are keeping it low key. I think there were threads here about it.

How do you huck a rock?
A huck is somewhere between a solid straight-arm pitch and a looping side-long fling.

President Bush cannot leave Washington without a forwarding address, nor can he ditch the press corps... When Bush tries to sneak into Iraq to spend Thanksgiving with the troops, the press accuses him of filing false flight plans.
