Actually I wonder if this problem started after he assumed the leadership role for the Dem's

My memory of him before that time was somewhat pro-life and for the most part reasonable. perhaps his job was too stressful for him.

Reid is full of you-know-what, but it doesn't make this any more related

God bless him, and may he recover quickly.

Perhaps the word, "hypocrisy", will enlighten you? ;)

Oh he is a hypocrite, but not immediately announcing your own stroke is not what happened this week

..I can't help but believe that Harry's Mormon conscience has been tormenting him for some time concerning the Democratic agenda...

Though I detest everything the man stands for, I pray for his quick recovery. Strokes, even minor ones, are dangerous!

Your prayers seem to have worked; he recovered many months ago!

It was caused by bird shot from Cheney's shotgun.

A stroke is caused by a blood clot in the brain.

Or an aneurysm

I respect your opinion, however.... Do you believe that the first thing the V.P should have done was make a call to the press? Or perhaps maybe he should have done what he did. Tend to his friend's needs first, and that includes the right to privacy of his friend and his friend's family during this horrible ordeal. I'm sure his friend will be thanking him for holding off the media hounds long enough for him to get to the hospital and have time to let his family, both far and near, know about the situation without alarming them. Perhaps having a media circus at the hospital where he was taken would have been in the patient's best interest. Perhaps V.P. Cheney put his own best interests aside for his friend.

I can totally understand why they didn't report it until (GASP) the following morning.

I can understand your thinking that Reid's situation was more "personal" so he didn't have to announce it. So, forget, Reid. Think about Clinton and Lewinksy for a few minutes. The liberal media and their liberal government cohorts are doing what they do best, and it's sickening, IMHO.

Actually, I don't really care about the whole incident; I was just disagreeing with his comparison

I understand and respect that. I don't care about the "incident" either, except for wanting this man to recover. The press corp gets me riled up, but that's nothing new. They have reached a new low, but since that was the direction they were going anyhow, I guess that's considered an improvement to them. LOL
