Me: Yeah and they will "claim" that he only did so because of the pressure they put on him. I turned it off too it's nothing but a hate Bush fest while ppl are dieing cause of the so called leaders in our state. I wish Bobby Jindal was Governer of this state more now then ever...

WDSU showing the Astrodome. A sight for my eyes! Stacks of supplies being handed out to well-behaved people.
Now showing medical volunteers from Florida doing medical *triage* in Mississippi.

I would... Then again I'm not feeling like a real nice guy these days after all this. Send in Hillary too...

LOL......I almost said that because that's exactly what I thought.
Aren't you glad you're not a liberal so you don't have to spout all that drivel?
Oh, and I heard Jindal for the first time tonight; boy, LA made a big mistake when they didn't elect him!

Good lord, man, most of us at least TRY not to look ignorant, but you just can't seem to pull it off, can you? As far as not looking ignorant, are you really trying? Because it doesn't show. I hoped, after a few days, you might have picked something up. But nope, you all you've picked up is your keyboard :)

Yeah we have a bunch of idiots in this state Howlin, they never miss a chance to screw this state up. Then again I think most of the nation now knows that sad fact.

In Memphis a couple of years ago, we had a huge wide swath of straight line winds come through. We have more trees here per sq ft. than any other city in the country. You can imagine what the destruction was like. Our Democrat mayor ran off to another state on personal business, and left the city to fend for itself.
How dare any Democrat blame G. Bush

Defender 5 seems to be sleeping.

Given contaminated areas, lack of potable water, fire hazards, potential spread of diseases, and little local hospital support, it will be needed very badly. There are going to be a lot of sick people for a long period of time, even after folks return to their homes. When the Comfort was deployed to the far east during the tsunami disaster they cared for 100,000 people.

Has anybody seen any reports of health issues, yet?
I saw a post on this thread yesterday afternoon about some rescue workers being evac'd due to infection/sickness from wading in the sludgy water, but nothing since.
We should be getting close to the incubation time on some of those nasty bugs, I would think.

WDSU - healthcare volunteers said they saw no one with a wound that was not infected, in Miss. I think near Biloxi, but I honestly don't recall if it was Biloxi or Gulfport.
To: Uncle Ike
Right.
And the dead animals, too.

That bears repeating. They have elected leaders at all levels. It seems they're avoiding their responsibilities and trying to blame it all on President Bush. All the feds can and should do is ask what do they need and where do they need it. The local leaders know their areas better than Washington does.
