Thank you for posting that. God Bless that young man! What a beautiful story.
A natural born leader.
I say, send him to New Orleans!
You know, I don't know why the powers that be couldn't suspend school in the states surrounding N.O. and send all the school buss down there to get those suffering people out of there and to help.
If I were the Gov of one of the surrounding states that's what I'd do. I'd send every school bus in my state to get those people to safety.
That's a great idea.
I also heard a caller to talk radio suggest using closed military bases for housing.
Wish they'd use our idea's and get those poor suffering people out of there.
God Almighty, what an outstanding young man.
"Phillip, a soft-spoken boy who said he knew he wanted to be a police officer or doctor before the storm"
I think he's earned that medical school if he still wishes to go when he gets old enough. I wish we could ensure it for him.
I hope he'll find a sponsor, an angel.
That is a great idea.
God Bless that child. Uplifting to read positive stories of survival.
What a great kid. He will make a fine doctor or police officer.
Amazing boy....GW should meet him when possible.
Thanks for this uplifting story.
He's a natrual born leader.
There are a few people in La that could learn alot from him. They could use some leadership training from this brave young man.
He took action and kept his head.
Lucky family finds ways to pass time
HATTIESBURG - P.J. Tadej is lucky. His house in Gulfport survived. His wife, his two kids, and the dogs he breeds all 14 of them holed up in the Comfort Inn here, about 50 miles from home.
"We'll be out of here in a day or so," he said. "We're very, very, very, very lucky."
His 13-year-old son Matthew doesn't think so. He's bored out of his mind. "I sleep," he said. "There's nothing else to do except sleep and walk the dogs."
"We do other things," his sister, Brittney, 11, countered.
Like what?
"We hit each other," she replied.

The more "normal" teenager dynamic.
