But as specific orders began arriving to the firefighters in Atlanta, a team of 50 Monday morning quickly was ushered onto a flight headed for Louisiana. The crew's first assignment: to stand beside President Bush as he tours devastated areas. Whoever came up with this brainstorm needs to be fired, PDQ. This is unconscionable.

Mostly consumables? Hub & I were looking at our's a few nights ago and are planning an expansion. All I've come up with is more food and water. Given the water filter, water is not even that critical. Yes, mostly consumables, another changes of clothes, two paperback books, and a very intricate cross stitch kit. I just HATE to be bored. I'd hate to lie around the Astrodome and have nothing to do. :)

But, it's not like Bush has never used military or rescue personnel as props during a photo op before. The only thing missing is a cape made from an American flag.
When Truman was President, he had a plaque on his desk that read, "The buck stops here."
Does Bush ever take responsibility for the actions of those around him? Either he's in charge or he isn't.
