The mess of our Constitution in New Orleans: a video (Vanity)

It is really beyond belief what is happening in New Orleans!

US Second Amendmend, states: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

We need to restore and enforce adherence to the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights as the supreme protective law for firearms of law-abiding people. I can't stand this kind of gross breach of Constitutional Law, presently in New Orleans.

It would be more disgusting if the homes were confiscated. Hasn't Marshal Law been declared?

So much for that

"no one will be deprived of ...PROPERTY...without due process of law."

I guess that no quartering of troops things (the church) in the constitution was more of a guideline than a rule.

Even the dumbest leftist gun haters are smiling about this. Notice, unless I missed something, that we've not yet seen the name of the moron that suggested this nor an explaination of how current law supports the implementation of a confiscation order. But, predictably, only the law abiding are being disarmed. The lawless got to keep theirs and are still running wild. The NO police are some of the dumbest in the country if they knew no better than to go along with this. A smart cop knows that when the police are put in a situation where they are overwhelmed, the armed law abiding are a damn nice thing to have on your side (sometimes they even have the weaponry you may need, remember LA?).

No, this is for one reason and one reason only. To establish the precedent that it can be done. When the fog clears here there will be challenges.

As much as i support our military and other policing forces I would be going down fighting before i allowed anyone to take my guns and other weapons. The problems that happened in the super dome and on the streets are created by the good people not having guns and other weapons. When we disarm the good people we end up with only bad people having guns.

The government can do more to fight against the people that are shooting. They can come in with a few helecopters and blow them off the planet. The state of LA and TX and AL all have carry laws that respect the rights of citizens to own and bear arms. I wouldn't let them take me one step back from that. There is no-one more vunerable in the world than someone set out of their home without a weapon to defend themselves.

The national socialist movement in Germany began disarming the citizentry in the 1930's before the socialist leader Adolf Hitler came to power. Germany was corrupt morally and broke economically and blamed the jewish for their own corruption.
Could it be that moral and economic corruption are inseperalble?

I've just seen your wonderful video: I think that President Bush and our "Representatives" should be aware of this mess. Why they don't intervene? Why?!!!

Why? Because they are testing us. And if we fail this test a larger more draconian gun confiscation will occur at the next emergency. Bet on it.

The link doesn't work for me, what am I supposed to see?

What can we expect of a gun-grabbing, demonRAT-run inner-city? Yet ANOTHER reason for all good, law-abiding Americans to engage in "Bright Flight" ASAP. This USED to be called "White Flight" in previous years, but now ANYONE, black, white, or otherwise, that chooses NOT to live in such a city, is EXTREMELY BRIGHT to get out as fast as they can!

The left-wing inner-city bureaucrats, including the dumbass mayor and his PO-lice chief are the ones pushing these unconstitutional measures (illegal searches and seizures). We can expect it from these un-American wogs, but the truly disturbing thing is that National Guard, police, and other law-enforcement personnel are CARRYING OUT these local orders! And this, AFTER giving an oath to PROTECT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES!

Their actions are perhaps due to their youthful exuberance and the macho nature of their assignment, or maybe as a result of most of our young people not really knowing, and fully comprehending just exactly WHAT our constitution says and means. This IGNORANCE is probably due to them being "taught" in GOVERNMENT schools, but IGNORANCE of the law is no excuse, ESPECIALLY for those charged with upholding it!

Unfortunately, all of the video (or audio I've heard, in the case of this link) I've seen, indicates these gun-toting, jack-booted thugs are carrying out this assigned task with gusto.

In the video clip (I tried it several times, but was only able to get the audio each time), one of the young troops says, "They (the law-abiding citizens) were a little bit threatened because our weapons are bigger than their weapons".

Can you BELIEVE that?

Well, sh*thead, just come to MY house in a similar situation, and in an effort to ILLEGALLY and UNCONSTITUTIONALLY break down my door, search my house, confiscate my firearms, and force me to leave my home, and you'll find that MY weapons ARE as big as yours, and with my experience, much more deadly...

to YOU and your fellow jack-booted thugs!

That this is happening in a U.S. city, is thoroughly disgusting, repugnant, and UNBELIEVABLE!

We all need to write our representatives and FORCE them to enact BULLET-PROOF (with NO loopholes the left-wing maggots can use to take these rights away from us) laws that protect ALL of our rights, as enumerated in the Bill of Rights, and MOST ESPECIALLY, in time of crisis, our God-given right to defend our property, livelihoods, and the lives of ourselves, families, friends, and neighbors. This is best done by exercising our 2nd Amendment RIGHT to keep and bear arms for defense.

It's a damn shame that we need new laws that back-up rights we already have, but if that's what it takes, then so be it.

In the mean time, armed, law-abiding citizens need to do what they have to do. Given the current situation, all they can do is capitulate, or FIGHT BACK.

Armed law-abiding citizens are no danger to law enforcement, UNLESS, they BREAK THE LAW and ILLEGALLY try and take away our RIGHTS.

In that case, remember, they are wearing body armor, so go for head and groin shots.

During "our" President's mandate, I've seen Keynesian spending and a lowering of our constitutional rights. These are other evidences that Bush is not, and never will be, a Goldwater republican. What's the next step?
