Undocumented aliens [sic] rebuilding Biloxi, say they deserve visas
AP ^ | Sep. 13, 2005 | E. Eduardo Castillo

As Biloxi rises from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, it is doing much of it on the backs of undocumented foreign workers. Some are starting to suggest that their contributions are worth at least a temporary visa.

"If we are working and helping to raise this city, at least they should give us a work visa," said Manuel Armenta, a 44-year-old Mexican who came to Biloxi five months ago to do cleaning work at a hotel...

...So far, there's been little risk [of deportation]. The Department of Homeland Security has announced a 45-day period in which employers would not be fined for hiring undocumented workers. It said that was because many people had lost their proof of citizenship or legal residence in the storm...

It seems like the best way to avoid something like that would be for the GOP to support doing the right thing for a change: give American jobs to Americans.

BTTT!

I don't know where to put this..

But just ASK the grief stricken beyond words, Mother, whose TWO young beautiful sons were mowed down and killed by a DRUNK ILLEGAL ALIEN in Little Rock this week. Ask HER how she feels about ILLEGAL Aliens?

I'm sick after seeing the photo of her precious 9 and 13 year old boys. If Juan wasn't here ILLEGALLY, the boys would still be alive.

Are you reading this, Gov. Huckabee?

Hopefully, the GOP leadership can grasp this concept. It will be very difficult for some but confidence is high.

"And if there is anything Mexicans are good at, it is construction."

Good for nothing except they are cheap, the quality and quantity suck.

"I agree. Mexicans want to come to this country, to work."

So, you have no problem with the 20 million illegal alien lawbreakers already in our country, just so long as they are here to work, is that right?

"But, but what about all those NO-ians who are unemployed?!?"

They're on government assistance, and, so, don't need to work.

This is why I support deporting the illegals and THEN starting a regulated guest worker program.

I agree. Mexicans want to come to this country, to work. That puts them a leg up in my book, a bit higher than those who have lived for 40 years on a government dole.

Yeah, all those guys in the relief shelters who want to work can just wait in line behind the illegals.

EJECT the "Illegals"-Summarily.

If the "Locals" find the Wages "Beneath Them"--re-hire the "Illegals" on LEGAL "Work Visas."

REFUSE to Hire "Citizens" who now want to compete with the "Guest Workers."

DEPORT all "Guest Workers" when their "Work Visas" expire!

No, illegals must be deported. The work will still be done without people who have invaded us.

It's amazing how the leftist have convinced so many Americans that we are so weak, and helpless, we can't even rebuild after a disaster.

So when do the illegal aliens start rebuilding the World Trade Center?

And since they are such hard workers, and no doubt harder fighting soldiers, why not let them fight our wars? I don't know why America doesn't model itself after Mexico. I am sure we'd all be much better off.

Los Angeles is a ghost town these days.

We'll there is some great news. We can only hope they stay in that region when the water drains out. Lots of inexpensive homes there too. Quite attractive no doubt to the illegals.

"Bayourod can lower the pay to his illegals."

He can, but right now this particular quisling appears to have landed on the suspended/banned list. Consistent with past slaps on the wrist, I'm confident he will slither back in here.
