CBS's recently launched Public Eye blog, saying it wasn't "looking to beat up on a competitor" so early in its life, has identified Los Angeles Times editorial writer Jon Healey as the person who was asked to "get angry" by a CNN producer when he appeared on Paula Zahn Now on Sept. 2. The incident had initially been described by the Times's editorial and opinion editor Michael Kinsley, who wrote: "The TV news networks, which only a few months ago were piously suppressing emotional fireworks by their pundits, are now piously encouraging their news anchors to break out of the emotional straitjackets and express outrage. A Los Angeles Times colleague of mine, appearing on CNN last week to talk about Katrina, was told by a producer to 'get angry.'" Interviewed by Public Eye, Healey said that he received a phone call from the producer of Paula Zahn Now an hour before his appearance, telling him, "I know this is going to sound tacky, but when you're on the show, could you be angry?" Healey told the CBS blog, "I'm a news guy ... I'm not an actor. If they ask me a question, I'll answer it." CNN later denied that anyone asked Healey to get angry.
Its official(!):
CNN hires Actors,
NOT Reporters!
When I read the other thread that had this info, the first thing that popped into my head was the re-occurring chanting of : " Jerry! Jerry! "
This hysterical hurricane coverage, with its obvious intent on smearing the Pres, has to be one of the biggest frauds ever perpetrated on the public.
They have run this country for too long, it is time to destroy them one by one, reporter by reporter.
Ruin them, and their reputations.
Right on the mark..The MSM has hit rock bottom. It's a total propaganda machine at best.FR should be on prime time TV across the country..Taht should be our goal , to somehow reach a MASSIVE audience. The public is being fed lies on a daily basis, it's out of control.
Angry CNN reporters:
Sure thing! Want me to throw my coffee at the camera, too?
They give new meaning to the phrase "nasty, brutish, and short"..
Hmmm. So CNN is calling Los Angeles Times editorial writer Jon Healey a liar.
I wonder what Los Angeles Times editorial writer Jon Healey will have to say about that?
Hey he might get angry, uh, for real.
Rush trumpeted this big-time a couple days ago. Millions heard it.
CNN requires their anchors and reporters to take drama lessons 2 times a week. Method acting is the preference of the prime-timers.
The CNN Skool of Optimal Emoting
Maybe Chris Matthews is moving over to CNN.
"CNN hires Actors,"
It's the only way they can report their crap with a staight face.
Actors sometimes use lemon juice in their eyes to cry. These zipper heads need only look at their ratings to get angry at themselves for being stupid enough or unskilled enough to work at cnn.
All CNN has at the point is to copy FNC as much as they can.
And since FNC has some powerful personalities, CNN is encouraging their anchors to act the same way. The problem is, you can't fake this kind of stuff. You either have it or you don't, and the ratings show who has it.
