The real point was about your "vote" to a Senator, who truth be told, could not possibly care less what you think. He'll tell you anything to get you to vote for him, and then do precisely as he pleases knowing full well that if he is of the opposite party, you don't matter since you aren't going to support him anyway, and if of the same party, that you dare not vote against him for fear of some bad ole Democrat getting in.
