September 22, 2005 -- 'I'M a woman, 45 years old, whose birth certificate says 'Negro,' and I was Al Gore's campaign manager. With all that layin' on top of me, I thought nothin' could ever scare me." CNN regular Donna Brazile, who now runs her own company out of D.C., was born in a Louisiana charity hospital. Mother a maid, father a janitor, dirt poor, no running water, Donna is one of nine children. The hurricane devastated them. She says: "I'm an African-American whose life has been a victory. But then came Katrina."
The family's whole area was under water. Her diabetic dad couldn't leave and was rescued after five days, dead bodies floating in his face. His only chair, a rocking chair, destroyed in 8 feet of water. One sister wasn't found for six days. Another's children, in the care of an older child, drowned. A disabled sister in a nursing home was only located after Donna appealed on CNN and offered $500 for someone to go there and look. The Wildlife and Fisheries operation eventually found her. An elderly cousin was raped in the Superdome. There was an autistic niece who couldn't help herself. An uncle lay trapped in an attic nearly a week.

Holy moley. I can't believe this is Donna Brazile talking. Sounds like the first honorable assessment from any democrat anywhere.
Last time she said this, I thought it was a "Lucy holding the football" kind of thing. But she really appears genuine.
Who knows, Republicans have been made in all kinds of ways...
She also claims a relative was raped in the Superdome.
I am still a sceptic of her.

I think this is the first time in my life that I believe a Dem is speaking from the heart and not through the window of their political affiliation. She sees what he's doing. I say good for her for speaking out. I'm sure this is not making her more friends on her side of thea aisle.

Donna should have taken some of that consultant's money and bought her dad a backup chair. Only one chair? In a whole house? Come on.
She's only 45? My age. I thought she was older.
Anyway, she also said some friendly things about Karl Rove in the past. Maybe she's not as evil as her former boss Al Gore, and other Dems. ;)
The NO Chief of Police was on the tv noting none of those rapes at the superdome have ever been confirmed.

I am unable to find any documentation, none, zip, nada, of this allegation.
Therefore, until otherwise convinced, I must assume that Ms Brazile is a baldfaced liar, prone to rhetoric and emotional outbursts without basis in fact, simply to enhance her own standing.
Wouldn't be the first time for her.
