Agreed.

And to this day I wonder how many of Thomas' Supreme Court opinions were formed whilst he "reminisced" about his confirmation proceedings.

Rage is a powerful emotion.

I personally don't know what to think about Ms. Miers, but I think Fred Barnes made an excellent point today.

He reminded us that GWB has never...NEVER...nominated a liberal judge to any court, be it appeals court, Supreme Court or otherwise.

So it begs the question as to why he would now abandon that strategy.

GWB has known her for 20 yrs, and since she's WH counsel, you can assume they're very close.

I'm guessing (as is usually the case) that he knows what he's doing.

Still nervous, though.
