"Special ops" on Brooklyn side. Vents on western tube (of tunnnel?) are set on auto. 14 green flag (?) patients. Garbled - hard to follow.
880 and 1010 both reported it as part of their traffic report. 880 said it was a bus fire.
Yeah...Fox news coverage is so special ops...they cover tabloids "news" instead. : )
Okay, what's "green tag" or "green flag"? This is interesting.

Meanwhile, NY1 is right now televising the mayoral debate (sans Bloomberg) with Freddy, some well-meaning conservative lawyer who has no shot of winning and a couple of lispy voiced moderators.

Green tag patients: Walking patients. In triage, those are patients that are in the best condition.
When I lived in Manhattan I don't recall seeing too many buses on fire.

priority 1 or "Red" Triage tag code (meaning first priority for treatment and transportation).
Priority 2 (Yellow) Moderate to serious injury/illness (not immediately life-threatening) Victims with potentially serious (but not immediately life-threatening) injuries (such as fractures) are assigned a priority 2 or "Yellow" (meaning second priority for treatment and transportation) Triage tag code.
Priority 3 (Green) "Walking-wounded" Victims who are not seriously injured, are quickly triaged and tagged as "walking wounded", and a priority 3 or "green" classification (meaning delayed treatment/transportation). Generally, the walking wounded are escorted to a staging area out of the "hot zone" to await delayed evaluation and transportation.
NON-PRIORITY VICTIMS: Priority 4 (Blue) Those victims with critical and potentially fatal injuries or illness are coded priority 4 or "Blue" indicating no treatment or transportation. It is important to note that victims of mass casualty incidents (MCI) who are still presenting some vital signs but may have life-threatening or potentially fatal injuries, may be classified as "unsalvageable" by the Triage officer. Although this is a very difficult decision, it is necessary when many casualties require more resources than may be available. It is axiomatic that committing resources to save the life of a person who is most likely to live if cared for promptly, outweighs committing resources to victims who probably will not survive even if such resources are administered. In ordinary emergencies where only a few victims are injured, it is possible for responders to devote sufficient resources to critically injured patients, and to attempt to save their lives by extraordinary medical support and rapid transportation (when possible) to a level 1 or 2 Trauma Center. Such patients often still succumb to their injuries, even after extensive care in hospitals.
Priority V (Black) Victims who are found to be clearly deceased at the scene with no vital signs and/or obviously fatal injuries are classified as deceased or priority 5 (Black) in the triage coding system.

A well-placed U.S. military official told CNN on Thursday that the same intelligence also led to a raid against suspected al Qaeda operatives in Iraq.
No arrests have been made in Manhattan, but operations continue outside the city, Kelly said, without mentioning where.
And Bloomberg said that officials "do not have any reason to believe" that any of the plotters "are in New York at this point in time"
The highly classified operation involving the U.S. intelligence community and the U.S. military was carried out against suspected al Qaeda operatives south of Baghdad, CNN has learned from a well-placed U.S. military official.
"Significant intelligence was also gathered in this raid, along with al Qaeda operatives who were rounded up," CNN's Jamie McIntyre reported, citing the official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Few other details were provided about the raid, which occurred in the town of Musayyib, in the lawless area nicknamed "The Triangle of Death." But the official said the raid was the result of the same intelligence about the threat to New York's subway system.

Y'know, the object of terrorism and the desire of terrorists is to instill terror. To that end, the threat will suffice. It throws people into a tizzy, daily routines into confusion, and causes expenditures of manpower and money. When the attack doesn't materialize, well, there we go, crying wolf again. The terrorists just go to ground until the security slacks off.
