Join us on the east side of Georgia Avenue NW, at Elder Street -- just a few blocks below the DC line in the upward point of DC's diamond shape. We gather up around 6:30 and end around 9:30. There's neighborhood parking on the streets. Click for MapQuest locator.
DC pingout!
Sorry, no live pix this time, but just click on the links to see gorgeous photos!
WALTER REED PING!
Great report Albion!!!
Great report.
Bump for an inspiring report!
FReepmail me or post a reply to get on or off the DC Chapter ping list.
Injured Walter Reed patients, including amputees, have repeatedly told us how important it is for us to be there to counter Code Pink.
Unfortunately, a family medical situation will keep me from attending this week. You've been thinking about coming to this for a long time, would you be so kind as to fill in for me?
Our troops are bold enough to face bullets, mortars, IEDs, and suicide bombers. Are you bold enough to get out from behind the keyboard, FReep in person, and stand up for the wounded troops at Walter Reed?
If you're in the DC area and don't have family or work considerations that keep you from FReeping, can you spare a few hours on a Friday night? Will you?
Wonderful report!
(Sorry that I was so little help.)
Bill, you're an inspiration; what could be more helpful than that?
The pix couldn't be posted because of hosting issues, so we used the alternate linking method. Still waiting for Halliburton's newest cybercompression tech module.
Fantastic report! See you all tomorrow.
Great report! I can't believe I missed out on all the fun. Next time I'll have my friend move her wedding date.
From the Pink report:
"The administration does not want an action even this small to continue. It has unleashed its dogs to do everything possible to break up the vigil. So far, they have failed. The actions of their biker stooges this Friday night only call attention to how desperate they are to make us go away."
LOL. Gee, I guess Bush has nothing better to do on Friday night than call up some bikers to disrupt Code Pink. I guess its all his fault, again.
Thanks to all activist FReepers, Rolling Thunder members and others who support the injured Men and Women at Walter Reed Hospital.
I wonder who will travel the greatest distance to stand with us at WRAMC this week?
Pinging back to Richmond...
Bumping back to southrun Virginia!
I'm old enough to remember that, at least in the midwest, not everyone felt like this about the Viet Nam war or, especially, about the Viet Nam vets. That people chose to protest to the war that way was just evil.
I still cannot believe these pea brains chose to set up in front of Walter Reed. Sure they support the warriors, not the war. Right. You bet. I'm convinced.
Rolling Thunder...........outstanding!
OK everybody, BillF won't be able to attend tomorrow; we need some volunteers to stand in his place. Who will answer the call?
Note: Bill's shoes are tough to fill; we need at least twenty folks to do all the work he does... manning the multiple facial-recognition digital cameras, setting up the mini-microphones in the shrubbery around the Code PinkO corner, holding an end of the MOAB, transmitting the ultra-high-frequency sounds via the Acme (aka Halliburton) Leftist Discombobulator, WRAMC neighborhood ambassador duties and talking to the neighbors' dogs...
See you tomorrow!
The Marxists just turn my stomach. They know they can't sell it to real American voters, so all they can do is attack their political opponents and hope to win by default. The fact that they use wounded soldiers as punching bags to try to achieve their political goal is just staggering. God blees you and the restraint you have shown in the face of it. It's probably a good thing I'm not there -- I'd be waiting for the second a pinko laid a hand on me so I could give him an er...life-altering experience.
