The merry-go-round is sure moving...now we hear she's going to dig in her heels and fight- has no intention of dropping out. Unless that's a feeler??

Waiting for the other shoe ...

So sacrificing our own in a hopeless blood bath will win us the final victory? How comforting for those sacrificed.

Almost lost in all of this Miers hysteria is the fact that she is a member of an evangelical Christian church. Ms. Miers being an evangelical Christian would cause me to believe that she would be inclined to vote to overturn (Roe v. Wade).

The dims I think recognizing this fact, have pulled a fast one on us, at least on some of us, conservatives. They got Dirty Harry Reid, the ACLU, and a few other libs to voice support for Ms. Miers. To many conservatives that was all it took, akin to pouring gasoline on a fire, they went off on a wild self immolating rampage. In effect doing the work of the dims for the dims.

I still trust George W. Bush to make the right decision, and I still stand behind Ms. Miers.

Put up your best nominees, eyes wide open. If they get savaged by the Democraps, the only people who can really beat them are the backstabbing liberal Republicans.

So get it all out there in the open, so the people can see "what it is" when it's time to go to the polls next spring, to select primary candidates, and in November in the generals. Then maybe some of those entrenched GOP backstabbers like Specter and McCain can finally be made to pay for their double-dealing. I'd love to see McCain finally run on the Democratic ticket -- and lose.

As for the nominees, they know it'll be tough sledding ever since the Democrats changed the rules almost 20 years ago now just to beat Judge Bork. We can't help that -- the 'Rats changed the rules! All we can do is promise to fight for them, and to break out the "nuclear option" if necessary, if we don't get stabbed in the back by our own liberals.

I still think we need to think seriously about expelling New England and downstate New York from the Union, on the grounds that those people don't want to be citizens of the United States any more, but tributary subjects of the U.N.

Serve them right.

The word is though, that Miers may be withdrawn by the end of the week.
