Estrich's purported acceptance of Clinton's denial says absolutely nuttin' about Juanita's credibility, a tiny bit everything about Estrich's gullibility willful deceit, and volumes about Estrich's opinion of the audience's intelligence.

All of this certainly tends to lend credence to Mrs Broderick's claims.I suspect that I'm not nearly as much of a "doubting Thomas" as one or two here (you included?) seem to think.

You haven't followed the story carefully enough.

Background: Bruce Lindsey, behind the scenes White House fixer, was responsible for a campaign to get people to sign affidavits, saying that they would never have to appear in court if they did. Juanita foolishly signed one, thinking it would go away and she wouldn't be forced to testify and bring it all into the public. It was obviously the most traumatic thing in her life and she had tried to put it behind her.

When she was named as a Jane Doe No. 5, people were suggesting that she was paid to keep quiet. What she feared all along was going to now happen away. She was called to testify before the grand jury and it would be out in the public. Her son, an attorney told her how serious it was and that she must tell the truth. She finally agreed to be interviewed by Lisa Myers after about nine months of Myers trying to convince her. She regrets having signed the affidavit, not only because it clouded the truth, but Kathleen Willey was later assaulted in the White House.

Yes but did she have a conversation with Juanita Broaddrick? I bet she didn't. Why did she ask only the offender, if she is genuinely interested in the truth? Why isn't she interested in both sides of the story. I think it speaks sad volumes about her as a victim.

If you watch Court TV or A&E's "American Justice" much,you'll find that one of the constants in trials of violent criminals is "oh,my Mommy/Daddy/son/daughter/husband/wife/brother/sister couldn't *possibly* have done this".

Of course,she could have taken this position to further some career ambition.

Well, from where I sit and from what I've heard, read and seen, your holding out the possibility that Ms. Broderick is any of those things you mentioned is very near an impossibility and her veracity is way beyond 'Far more likely' to the point of a virtual certainty.
