A Polling Free-Fall Among Blacks In what may turn out to be one of the biggest free-falls in the history of presidential polling, President Bush's job-approval rating among African Americans has dropped to 2 percent, according to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll. The drop among blacks drove Bush's overall job approval ratings to an all-time low of 39 percent in this poll. By comparison, 45 percent of whites and 36 percent of Hispanics approve of the job Bush is doing.

For everyone in favor of state rights Blanco sabatoged a whole race of people against republicans for a generation.

Blanco blocked aid from the red cross and salvation army and then came out screaming blaming the feds.

Blacks see those pictures and the blacks starving and blame Bush. But in truth it was Blanco who blocked food and water to the people at the convention center. She wanted people out of there and felt food and water would keep them there. So she let them go hungry.

You had a democrat governor in her actions turn a whole race against a national party.

Bush needed to come out screaming telling the american people that it was Blanco that ordered the red cross and salvation army not to come in. The white house communications office is a joke.

Blacks are against the dems on gay marraige. Bush has hired many african americans to his cabinet. Bush has even appointed supreme court justices that will uphold affirmative action. Blacks are more in favor of some business policies with the gop than the dems.

All the work the Gop did to persuade blacks thrown out by a fat ugly democrat governor.

Blanco had to have a lot of MSM help. It's slander.

Does this mean that the hapless LA GOP will be too afraid to offer a candidate against Blanco in 2007?

You believe anything printed in the ComPost, especially a poll?

You've been here long enough to know better.

Get used to this BS. We will have polls on everything about Bush and the GOP. The feeding frenzy of the MSM will go on and on until they overplay their hands just like all leftists eventually do.

LOL, who cares. Bush, Republicans, and conservatives, cannot control Oprah, Farrakhan, Nagin, the Black caucus, Black radio, and Black rappers.

If they believe conspirazoid crap, they are hopeless.

Now I know why Blanco blocked Jeb Bush's offer of Florida National Guard days before the hurricane.

When the American people believe the President is responsible for everything you have a situation like this.

Either change the laws and allow the President to be able to make the decisions if he is going to take the heat or expect more of this.

There is a disconnect between the American people and understanding of our laws. Bush had very little power in Louisiana. The commander and chief of that state is Blanco.

If the laws are going to stay the same then the President should be called commander and chief of ourseas troops. Because people believe that he is the commander and chief on the ground in Louisiana when it is really Blanco.

Federal troops couldn't go into New Orleans. How can you send in troops where there is violence when they have no law enforcement power. They become sitting ducks.

Uh, how many Freepers told me to settle down when I said you don't allow the President to be called a racist murderer (literally) by the dems without responding? Black Americans are total suckers for this race baiting and the dems know it. So they said Bush let blacks die because of their color (reality being anyone dead is the fault of the dems before Bush) and the republicans were mum and acted defensive and now American blacks believe that a pretty decent guy like Bush wants them dead.

It's scary but so is the fact the only notable defense of the President came from a liberal republican, Peter King of NY.

This is the only way dems win elections, and they know it.

"36 percent of Hispanics approve of the job Bush is doing.

Guess it didn't pay to pander to that community and allow illegals to take over this country.

Fine..Let Blanco take care of them. Feed and clothe them.
Provide shelter for them. Not one thin dime of Federal money for them, that would kiss the asses of their DemoKlan slavemasters and their porch StepnFetchits like
Dirty Jessie, Nagin, Maxine Waters and the rest, and
call the people who've done most of the law passing
and saving of their asses szince before the Civil War
the "bad" ones...talk about biting the hands that feed you, and licking the boots of your abusers...

What a load of crap! They *deserve* the crap that they are
gonna get, while Blanco and Landrieu and alll the frest of their criminal racist cabal get fat off of all the money they steal, that should have been going to help *them*
(black americans)...Seems like they, (the Dims) *did*
learn something from Saddam..Never steal anything small.

I am thouroughly disgusted

The blacks that support the President are not going to leave him because of the BS in New Orleans. They are not the kind that fall for the race baiting, lying, and other crap being spewed by Calypso Louie, Nagin, and Blanco. They are the ones who have risen above the level of the plantation and aren't going to look back.

I trust the real 'poll' done by black evacuees in Houston by I think some ABC reporter. Black after black NO evacuee blamed Blanco and Nagin.

Bad assumptions made even easier by the Repubs who just do not want to fight the Dems on their turf. . .He knew they would go there; grab their soundbite and run. . .

Sadly, this type of politics will continue as long as Democrats remain a vital political party. There is no low that is low enough for them anymore. Nothing short of God or death will stop them.

Well, the headline caught my attention...but it didn't seem to match with the unscripted surprise ABC received from the black family from New Orleans after Bush's speech...they clearly had their local & state democratic leaders as the targets of their totally justified wrath.

Remembering that interview, and seeing the source as the Washington Post, motivated me to read the article...which states This latest poll included 807 people nationwide, and only 89 blacks.

Laughable statistically. Unfortunately, the MSM will probably be "discussing" the issue very seriously. Makes me wonder what "internal" data the liberal media has been collecting which shows an increased number of black individuals moving towards Conservative candidates....also interesting how this "poll" appears shortly after speculation last week about the "black" vote if Rice becomes the Republican Presidential candidate in 2008....
