Tony Snow Exposes Bill Maher As Clueless Moron
Patterico's Pontifications ^ | 10/30/05 | Patterico

Posted on 10/30/2005 9:58:45 AM PST by Bulldaddy

Like a rubbernecker drawn to a train wreck, I am drawn towards that Bill Maher show. He’s one of those people you love to hate, and his show is most interesting when he has someone articulate on his show who opposes his point of view. So I watched when Christopher Hitchens was on recently. And I watched last night when Tony Snow was on.

Tony absolutely ripped Maher up.

He exposed Maher for the clueless fraud he is. And he did it with a smile. It was an amazing performance. If you have HBO, you have to watch it in reruns this week.

I would file this under 'Proving a given'.

Of course, the other panelists and the audience were all on Maher’s side. All Snow had was the facts. But to this viewer, it was no contest. The facts won.

Libs never let an obstacle like 'facts' or 'the truth' stand in the way of their agenda/talkingpoints.

That's kind of like exposing Micheal Moore as fat.

Maybe I'll watch it if it's on again though.

Great work Tony - as usual. ;)

Tony,
Will there be a transcript of your performance on Maher's show?

I hate to even see Maher, but stopped surfing briefly opon hearing Tony Snow say, "Bullshi-." I was shocked until learning that someone in the audience shouted that out to him and he was responding by saying, "Before you shout bullshi-, read the Senate Intellegence report as I have."

After that I had to leave. Maher can cause me to lose an expensive TV image.

From the site:

"I knew Tony was going to be good when, early on, he was explaining that Lyin’ Joe Wilson is not quite the honest hero that everyone on the left seems to think he is. Tony explained that the Senate Intelligence Committee Report had found that Wilson had made a few statements that weren’t quite, you know, true. You could see an unsettled muttering in the audience: could this really be true? And, apparently, someone in the audience yelled: “Bullsh*t!”

Tony turned toward the audience and said (everything in this post is a paraphrase): You go and read the Senate Intelligence Committee Report before you call bullsh*t. Then come back and we’ll talk."

There aren't many people who KNOW about the Senate Intelligence Committee report. Ask any 100 people and 99 of them will look at you dumbfounded and think you are misinformed or lying. Why? Well because the MSM NEVER reports it and if it is ever mentioned at all it is in passing as an afterthought that has no significance at all.

I explained the ENTIRE "LEAK" story to my son yesterday and he was mystified. I got him hooked on Fox News but even there it is seldom mentioned and never emphasized.

"Tony Snow Exposes Bill Maher As Clueless Moron"

Some days it is just too easy. Whether he gets exposed on the spot or by subsequent events, Bill Maher is and shall apparently forever remain a "clueless moron". Tony Snow was not taking a cheap shot, just an excellent opportunity. In classroom parlance, a "teaching moment".

I saw Ann Coulter on that program a few months ago, and wondered why she gave that jerkoff legitimacy.

Now Tony Snow went out there as well? What is going on?

It is like Bizzarro world. Is Free Republic going to give Maher an invitation here too?

Tony Snow is one of the brightest, most well informed I've seen. I truely enjoy his shows.

Maher's show, on the other hand, is something I watch when I'm in a mood to laugh at a buffoon, and his invited idiot guests.

It's cheaper than the zoo, and more convenient, too.

Maher didn’t seem to understand what was going on, and had Snow explain. Tony explained again that the Senate Intelligence Committee Report had found that Wilson was not entirely straightforward

I didn't see the show, but I hope Tony "straightforwardly" said that Wilson was a documented liar, rather use that wishy-washy, "Wilson was untruthful", or, "Wilson told falsehoods", type of language.

I mean, a liar is a liar and there is no reason to be bashful about saying that Wilson is a liar because that's exactly what Wilson is - - documented.

Won't make the slightest bit of difference. You can have a long discussion with a liberal, pointing out facts that prove them wrong. They may even agree with you. But when you talk to them again the next day, they are right back where they started --BUSH LIED LIAR LIAR ROVE HALLIBURTON.

As much as I hate to give ratings to Maher, or even to see one of our guys like Tony Snow give him the time of day, Tony apparently decided that if he was going to play in Maher's sand box he wasn't gonna leave without taking a big ol' dump there. And for that, Tony's effective fact-dump deserves mention and appreciation. Just my opinion.

Hey...look at Tony's appearance as a "Public Service message"....he is actually getting the truth to people that obviously do NOT get it regularly..since they got upset when Tony told the truth about Joe Wilson's lies...

If Bill Maher wants to come on Free Republic and spar with some of the very, very smart and quick freepers...I say, bring him on...he would be mincemeat in 10 minutes.
