Alto is a stealth moderate canidate.
There are no conservatives in New York. Only moderates.
Thats why Bush will pick Alto, not Luttig.
Alto is a moderate.
Alito lives in Philadelphia. Nice try.
And of course no matter who it is you will come out against them.
Did you go to law school or college together?
Would you say either one, or do you have a preference?
I am sure that President Bush is calling Ann Coulter, David Frum, George Will, Bill Kristol, Laura Ingraham, and Pat Buchanan as we speak...to clear his choice with them...
Maybe he even has some freepers he has to freepmail first, and get their permission, otherwise what we experienced on the talk shows and here on FR the last 3 weeks will look like a pillow fight...compared to what would happen if he were to nominate yet another unworthy person in their eyes....blech

It is Luttig who clerked for Scalia.
His nickname is "Scalito". Hope it's apt.
If you had your choice between Alito or Luttig, who would you pick, or does it even matter - great quality with either.
Where are you getting this from, other than geography?
You want Buzz? Buzz this..

Good God almighty...lets do this thing.
What do you think of that, Torie?
It sounds like a dime-store novel to me...
Alito has much more solid academic credentials. FWIW.
Would you like my address for where to send the $10 -- better yet donate to the RNC!
OK.... What charity would you like to endow? Personally, I like Children's Make-a-Wish, but it's up to you.
Sorry... the RNC gets NO $$$ from me until the GOP Senators show some b@lls.
BTW, Scalito is JUST FINE with me!!!
Children's Make a Wish is a fantastic charity -- go for it!
This you are not going to believe -- from Sen Specter via RNC Email:
From RNC Email:
SEN. ARLEN SPECTER (R-PA) ON
JUDGE SAMUEL A. ALITO, JR.
Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA): "I've known Judge Alito through the better part of two decades. He sits on the Court Of Appeals for the Third Circuit, which includes my state of Pennsylvania. He brings to this nomination a very distinguished record: was in the Solicitor General's Office, was U.S. Attorney for New Jersey. He has been on the federal bench now for 15 years. We are in the process of assembling his opinions. It is estimated that he has been involved in about 3,500 cases, has some 300 opinions which he has written. So that we have a very good idea as to his approach to jurisprudence." (Sen. Arlen Specter, Press Conference, 10/31/05)
You're right! I can't believe it - Spektor will go limp as soon as Schumer and Kennedy howl.
Make-a-Wish it is. Check will go out in today's mail. I haven't been so glad to lose a bet since I sent $100 to the Salvation Army for overestimating Katrina's body count! };)
Neat! I only bet on sure things and this one looked like one of those! Cannot think of a better donation! :)
That was just a couple months ago. Based on your recent record of predictions, I suppose we can all be assured that Mr. Spector will NOT go limp in this case. 87)
