France defends policies after riot (Finally admitting Muslims are rioting)

BOBIGNY, France (Reuters) -- French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy defended his tough crime policies on Monday after a fourth night of riots in a Paris suburb in which tear gas was fired into a mosque.

Sarkozy, addressing police officers, vowed to find how tear gas had been fired into the Muslim place of worship, an incident which had helped fuel the disturbances.

Youths hurled rocks and set fire to cars in the northeastern Clichy-sous-Bois suburb of the French capital, where many immigrants and poor families live in high-rise housing estates notorious for youth violence.

French television said six police officers were hurt and 11 people arrested in violence partly fueled by the incident at the mosque. Sarkozy promised an inquiry.

"I am, of course, available to the imam of the Clichy mosque to let him have all the details in order to understand how and why a tear gas bomb was sent into this mosque," he told about 170 police officers at the prefecture.

Every riot in Southern California, as a matter of fact, every riot in the US since the end of WWII was NOT perpetuated by Latinos. While it was true that during the 1992 LA riots, some illegals became undocumented shoppers, the bulk of the violence (and the bulk of the arrests) were of black folk.

My point is that this country has a long history of urban, race-related riots.

IMO in 2001 the French didn't dare support US. They knew there was now way they could control the Muslim population in their country. Hopefully, 9-11 was a wake up call for them and they have been preparing themselves since that time.

Regardless it's going to be a civil war in France....declared or undeclared.

That wasn't all that long ago. We were in Paris in 1999, took the Metro out to San Denis to see where all the French kings were buried. It was VERY bad. The exhibit was closed, we high-tailed it out of there. Paris has some very bad places, and evidently many Muzzies live there. Nice.

My brother told me that 1/2 of the births in France are Muslim. No matter what else happens, births will determine the fate of a country.

Along those lines in the US, about 1 mil births are to hispanic and 2.3 mil to whites yet whites are 70% of the population and hispanics 14%. There is no way the US will resemble anything but a shadow of its former self in just a few decades.

Some here don't think it will matter. My observations of how the world works bring me to a different conclusion.

The violence began four days ago after the deaths of two teenagers, believed to be of African origin, who were electrocuted after clambering into a power sub-station while apparently fleeing police.

You know, it's interesting: the media almost always over-generalizes simple instances - all CEOs are corrupt, oil companies are bad, man is selfish polluter, etc. -- except in the case of Muslim violence. When that occurs, it's like pulling teeth to get them state the simple facts.

I remember when this story broke. Within minutes FR had the city identified for what it is, one of France's subsidized high-rise enclaves of poor north Africans and middle easterners.

But it just trickles out elsewhere. Head in the sand is not good for survival.

Read my post above about the actual number of births in this country. We might seal the border tomorrow and still be in deep do-do. But of course, the border won't be sealed tomorrow.

Strange that we are be taken over by a country that in 1950 only had 15 million people and they're doing it with hardly firing a shot.
