Trial must be fair says Muslim group

A MEMBER of the Islamic organisation headed by controversial Melbourne Sheikh Muhammad Omran has called for those arrested during raids in Melbourne and Sydney to be given a fair trial.
Abu Yusuf, a member of the advisory committee of the Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah Association of Australia and media manager for Sheikh Omran, said the organisation condemned terrorism. He said if authorities were right in their allegations that a major terrorist attack had been foiled, then the justice system must now work free of undue political or media pressure.
"I don't know," Mr Yusuf said of the prospect of the raids having avoided a major terrorist attack in Australia.
"If it has then fine, that's great, but if it hasn't then they (the government) have released information to (the media) at all the right times."
"These raids have been done very public way ... and it is destroying people's lives."
Mr Yusuf said it appeared that many in the broader Australian community viewed people accused of terrorism-related crimes as "guilty until proven innocent".
He also called on Prime Minister John Howard to make a unifying statement to discourage the view within mainstream Australia.
"It is us and them," Mr Yusuf said. "Muslims are seen as second class citizens and the rhetoric is starting to have an impact on our youth."
Sheikh Muhammad Omran, who has controversially stated there was no proof Osama Bin Laden was responsible for 9/11, was not available for comment today.
Translation: No infidel's testimony may be used against a muslim, and two women's testimony equals one man's testimony.
Oh, I get it. Fair, like the trial of Nick Berg.

Nothing more than a veiled threat by a participant who wasnt arrested.

As "fair" as religion-sanctioned honour killing of family members? As "fair" as stoning women to death? Egads! Islamics' hypocrisy reaches far beyond being symptomatic of a collective pathology.

To date, unlike the Islamic masses, Australian's won't be dictated as to what they should think. Australians are FREE to reject mandated ("unifying") viewpoints. Such spirited resistance is probably due to good old fashioned Anglo-Saxon spirit of individualism.
Buddahism has by far the better claim of being a "Religion of Peace."
Mr. Ysuf said, "Muslims are seen as second class citizens..." The PROBLEM is that Muslims want to be the Uberclass and impose Islam as finite rule. It becomes clearer and clearer that surly currents in the worldwide Muslim/Islam movement portends a deadly plague. No one would perceive Hinduism, Shintoism and Buddahism as plagues. There is nothing intrusive nor aggressive in the intent of this respected Eastern religions.
The world cannot afford to ignore the underlying deception in the rhetoric of Muslims like Mr. Yusuf.
