Is Hillary a centrist? Let's look at her votes

President Bill Clinton was elected in 1992, and I'm still trying to figure out exactly what a "New Democrat" is. Specifically, was the phrase anything more than a cynical Clintonian effort to make liberal Democrats appear more moderate?

Looking ahead, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), who must be considered the early Democratic front-runner for the White House in 2008, seems to be adopting a similar strategy. Over the past year, much has been made in various media accounts of Clinton's leaving her liberalism behind in favor of the center.

95%, eh? Wonder how Barbara Box-car, Teddy "the Drowner" and Chuckie Schumer scored?

For 2004:

Boxer - 95%
Kennedy - 100%
Schumer - 100%

Tied with Boxer. I'd say that's pretty far-left.

While her husband generally grasps the benefits of free trade - noting in his speech "trade lifts people out of poverty" - Sen. Clinton opposed the Central American-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement this past June. Ten Senate Democrats voted for it. Another blow against Hillary's moderation.

Lots of Freepers opposed it as well. I'd even go so far to say half or more Freepers oppose it.

She could be to the right of Barry Goldwater and I would never vote for her.

If she comes out pro-choice, anti-illegal-immigration, and anti iraq war, she might be a shoo in.

Unless the pubbies have a powerhouse to offer like Guliani.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just my prediction after watching the mood of the country.

Off topic but important:

Senator Rockefeller (D), Senate Intelligence Committee, admits on FNC yesterday that he went alone to Syria, Saudi Arabia and Jordan to tell them that, although a decision had not been announced, he was certain the US was going to invade Iraq.

If this isn't treason, nothing is.

A sitting intelligence committee member travels to countries not terribly favorable to us (with the exception of Jordan) to let them know the military is coming to their region.

Contact the White House and your senator and demand an investigation.

What do you mean, "if she come out pro-choice?" She always has been. What benefit is that going have in the general election?

Hillary can't come out anti illegal immigration because she has a voting record of sucking up to illegals.

Why is Hillary not held to account for her voting record. Why is she allowed to vote for illegals and then talk differently to appease others.

Saying Hillary can run being anti illegal would be like Bill Clinton running saying he never had an affair.

Hillary should be judged on her voting record.

Hillary is an absolute fraud she has a voting record that she will never be able to hide from. You can compare her voting record with her words and show how she has no leadership capacity.

Dear Hillary,

Something about that "take all of your money for the common good" thing will kill you on 08. I don't think anyone took your Marxist remark out of context.

Regards

The Republican Party

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, and I'm sure I'll say it many more times before the 2008 primaries.

Hillary will win the north east and the west coast with no problem. All she has to do is appear centrist with some of the Great Lake states and a few in the midwest for them to flip from red to blue.

Clinton knows how to raise money.

Clinton has the MSM on her/their side.

People are running FROM Republican/Conservatism right now.

All this can change in three years, of course. But if I was a betting man, I certainly wouldn't be betting against Hillary at this moment.

If you want to take the legs out of Hillary's advantages (or at least out of her perceived advantages as of today) you run somebody who can make a run at the north eastern states, while holding onto the south.

Does such a candidate exisist?

Make a run at the northeastern states?

They are rinos up there. The northeaster states are lost to us for good.

We need a conservative that can appeal to the south and midwest. States like Wisconsin, Iowa, and Ohio are the keys. That is the needle you have to thread and also appeal to the growing southwestern states that are coming more into play because of california transplants and illegals.

Voting record ,scmoting record.

The LSM will be gushing over her so hard that people will forget that she's even in the senate,or a former first lady/co-president.

I know she always has been. But the dems platform will be based, at least in part, by who is the nominee.

And if she gets it, you can bet everything that she will play that "I'm not one of those MEN who want to take away your right to chose" card.

And it will be very effective.

I oppose all "free trade" agreements on the grounds that in reality they turn out, without exception, to be sucker deals in which we are the sucker.

The question is frikkin ABSURD!

The Hitlery is a foaming at the mouth Marxist ideologue who hates the United States of America.

She is the "Devil" incarnate, (you'd have figured he'd do better on the physical structure, but oh well), she is the blood enemy of America and our way of life.

No hyperbole here, she is evil.

The question is frikkin ABSURD!

Spin RATs!

SPIN!
