I knew Bolton was the right man for the job. Now if he can resist pressure form the namby pambies in this country and hold firm, we'll all be better off.

Go Bolton!
The UN is a total waste of money and effort. You would not believe what entry level UN Reps make! And what makes it worse is their total ineffectiveness.

Peace keeping? Where have they kept the peace lately? It's a quagmire. They're doomed!

As long as Annan is part of this orginazation of cleptocrats, we should veto every dime going to them.

Exactly! Kofi can just pull some of that Oil For Food kick back scratch to fund his private anti Western/Anti US club. We pay for most of the darn thing. Go Bolton Go! This is exactly why he was placed into that position and EXACTLY why the Dems didn't want him there. No more status quo!

Bolton, his blunt remarks, also questioned the usefulness of the United Nations to the American public as the main global problem solver. Kudos to Ambassador Bolton.
I'd be a little more blunt however. U.S. out of the U.N. U.N. out of the U.S.
France can create a fancy new headquarters for them with the blood money they've received over the years. They deserve each other.
I spit on the U.N.

WOO HOO!! Way to go JB! Afterall we do pay 22% of the Budget...about time we threw our weight around...I love the 40% EU quote thrown in there...trying to make them look important...(Simple math will tell you that the US= about half of the EU)
To: rip033
It says we provide for 22% of the UN's budget, but that doesn't include defense spending. With that included, I'm betting we give a much higher percentage than 22%.

If he were the right man for the job, he'd have appointed by a guy who instructed him to withdraw our membership.

He sure is -- and it is about time the scum in the U.N. either clean up their act or get out of this country all together -- will Washington have the GUTS to put that on the table in the U.N.???
